Spinner Abhiyanshu bowls Yellow Sapphire to victory

Mumbai: Abhiyanshu Jha produced a superb bowling spell picking up five wickets which helped Team Yellow Sapphire record a convincing 5-wicket victory against Team Bleed Blue in the final of the Rising Star Premier League Boys’ Under-14 Cricket Tournament, played at the Belapur Sports Association Cricket Ground, Navi Mumbai.

After Team Blue elected to bat first, Yellow Sapphire’s left-arm spinner Abhiyanshu unsettled the rival bastmen with a teasing line and length. Team Blue innings folded for 118 runs in 30.1 overs with Abhiyanshu finishing with impressive bowling figures of 5 for 16 from 6.1 overs. Pratik Laharuka took  2 for 16 from four overs.

Rudra Sukale 29 runs, Lokesh Rathod 28 runs and Pranav Dawoolkar 18 runs were the only Team Blue batsmen to get some runs on the board.

Later, Yellow Sapphire easily chased down the target reaching 119 for the loss of five wickets in 24.5 over and emerge champions.

Smit Kochrekar top-scored with 28 runs while Karan Rajput was unbeaten on 19 runs and Atharva Mayure contributed 18 runs to ensure the team crossed the finish line. Team Blue bowlers Atul Jha 2 for 13 and Lolesh Mistry 2 for 29 picked the wickets.

फिरकीपटू अभिमन्यूच्या गोलंदाजीमुळे येलो सफायरचा विजय 

मुंबई : अभिमन्यू झा च्या( पाच विकेट्स) जोरदार कामगिरीच्या जोरावर टीम येलो सफायरने रायसिंग स्टार प्रिमियर लीग मुलांच्या 14 वर्षाखालील क्रिकेट स्पर्धेत टीम ब्लिड ब्ल्यूला पाच विकेट्सने नमवित जेतेपद मिळवून दिले. नवी मुंबईच्या बेलापूर स्पोर्ट्स असोसिएशन क्रिकेट ग्राऊंड येथे स्पर्धा पार पडली.

पहिल्यांदा फलंदाजी करणाऱ्या टीम ब्ल्यू च्या फलंदाजांसमोर येलो सफायरच्या डावखुरा फिरकीपटू अभिमन्यूने आव्हान निर्माण केले. त्यामुळे टीम ब्ल्यूचा दडाव 30.1 षटकात 118 धावसंख्येवर आटोपला. अभिमन्यूने 6.1 षटकात 16 धावात पाच विकेट्स घेत चमक दाखवली. त्याला प्रतीक लाहारुकाने (2/16) चांगली साथ दिली. टीम ब्ल्यू कडून रुद्र सुकळे (29), लोकेश राठोड (28) आणि प्रणव दाऊलकर (18) यांनी चमक दाखवली.

 यानंतर येलो सफायर संघाने 24.5 षटकात 5 बाद 119 धावसंख्येपर्यंत मजल मारत विजय मिळवला. स्मित कोचरेकरने 28 धावा केल्या तर, करण राजपुत (नाबाद 19) आणि  अथर्व मयुरे (18) यांनी संघाचा विजय निश्चित केला. टीम ब्ल्यूकडून अतुल झा (2/13) आणि लोलेश मिस्त्री (2/29) यांनी चमक दाखवली.
