Hollywood Studio and OTT Player, Lionsgate Play introduces Blockbuster Friday Series

Kolkata: Lionsgate Play, leading OTT player and the extended arm of Hollywood studio, Lionsgate, hosts a curation of high-profile Hollywood libraryfor cinephiles across the globe. The Hollywood giant, Lionsgate Play has come up with an engaging “BlockbusterFridays” series to host world class premiers of internationally acclaimed movies and to offernew content to its viewers. The activation will entail a new movie from the vast collection of critically and commercially films by the international studio house every Friday.

The first Friday of April, 3^rd April, will witness the India digital premier of Keanu Reeves starrer John Wick 3 – Parabellum, followed by John Wick 2& John Wick 1 on Friday 10^th April, Next, 17^th April and My Teacher’s Wife on Friday, 24^th April.The online streaming player has made it versatile content available by forming strategic alliances with some of the leading telecoms such as Vodafone Play, Idea Movies & TV and Airtel Xstream.

John Wick series is a cult classic which is popular amongst Indian audiences across age groups and languages. Recognising the multilingual culture and demand for popular Hollywood films in regional languages, Lionsgate Play will premier John Wick 3 in multiple languages such as Hindi, Tamil and Telegu.Lionsgate Play has associated with leading influencers in the country who will promote the dubbed contenton Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok. These influencers will reiterate the best of John Wick 3 dialogues from the trailer in either Hindi, Tamil or Telegu.  Additionally, the OTT player has created fun MEMEs and digital videos to promote them on the social media platforms. With the country facing lockdown, Lionsgate will promote the remaining Blockbuster Friday releases digitally by creating engaging and interesting activities closer to the release dates of these films to create online buzz.
