Insomniacs announces launch of OneTiffin –online platform for home-cooked food

 

 Matchmaking portal connects foodies looking for a meal with HomeChefs
 Funds raised are donated to the PM CARES Fund

Mumbai, April 23rd, 2020: Insomniacs, a leading digital marketing and advertising agency, has announced the launch of OneTiffin – an online platform designed to connect hungry foodies with talented HomeChefs. Unveiled on Insomniacs’ fifth anniversary, this initiative aims to bring communities together during this global pandemic, and extend a helping hand to people stuck at home and unable to cook for themselves. A portion of the funds raised through this initiative will be donated to the PM CARES Fund and contribute to the fight against COVID-19.
OneTiffin serves as a matchmaking platform, on which individuals craving home-cooked meals and HomeChefs’ can register and connect. After the HomeChefs has met a stringent set of quality and hygiene perimeters, they are permitted to upload their menus, address, and banking details to the website. Customers looking for a meal specify their location, and are subsequently informed of HomeChefs within their building or residential society. Once the customer selects their HomeChefs and meal, they are assigned a pickup time, during which they have to provide their own utensils.
In order to avoid the risk of contamination and comply with ongoing lockdown rules, OneTiffin conducts multiple checks through the government’s Aarogya Setu application. Hotspot locations and case numbers are strictly monitored, and the service is discontinued in locations with a high incidence of cases.
“In this time of global crisis, the best way we can fight the coronavirus is through self-isolation and social distancing. Unfortunately, that means people who don’t know how to cook end up going hungry! In order to help these individuals, and ensure everyone has the support of their neighbourhoods and communities, we came up with the idea of OneTiffin,” said Pranav Patadia, Co-founder of Insomniacs. “Nothing compares to the taste of home-cooked food, and OneTiffin connects individuals craving #GharKaKhana with talented and loving HomeChefs. Through this endeavour we can fight against coronavirus as one nation, OneTiffin at a time.”
Customers can make online payments through wallets, cards or net banking. The HomeChefs gets the amount they have quoted for their menu and OneTiffin charges a 10% convenience fee out of which 2% is TDR and 8% is donated to the PM CARES Fund. OneTiffin currently operates in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Delhi & Pune with plans to expand its initiative pan India in the weeks to come.
