Rotary Bangalore Midtown – Food Grain distribution Project

Rotary Bangalore Midtown, a premier organisation, part of Rotary District 3190, has taken up the task of supporting at this crisis moment of lockdown due to the spread of the Corona Virus – COVID 19.
Collectively, through the contributions of the members, a food grain kit fully sufficient to support a family of 4 for 15 days and consisting of Rice, Wheat flour, Ragi flour, 3 types of Dal, Sugar, salt , masks etc. This is distributed to the daily wage workers, contract labourers etc who are facing a huge loss at this particular time. The project is to support over 2500 families with these food grain kits which is at a cost of Rs.1000/- each
Through an NGO – HUMANE TOUCH, over 1000 of these kits are distributed in areas like Govindpura, Neelsandra, Tilak Nagar, Saraipalya, Banaswadi, Valmikinagar etc.
With the support of the Karnataka Marwari Youth Federation, over 500 food grain kits will be distributed to the needy.
Through the good support of SANSERA foundation, over 500 of these kits will be distributed to the needy in areas of Bommasandra, Hosa Road , Jigani, Henningara etc
Support to various orphanages like PARIKRAMA, BALAYESU are also being provided with these food grain kits.
This is one of the major initiatives taken up by Rotary Bangalore Midtown other than running free Charitable Dispensaries at Frazer Town and at the Gottigere village, supporting the under privileged women at the Mugulur Village by the Maansi Project, creating Urban forests in the Bangalore City and also running a Skin Bank successfully at the Victoria Hospital.
