Mumbai, 8th March 2020: The Shree Sankalp Pratishthan charitable trust, founded and helmed by Mumbai power couple Shri Sachin and Smt. Sangeeta Ahir, has extended its support to residents of the Worli locality in fighting and containing the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Announced on the occasion of World Health Day, the charitable organisation has pledged the support of experienced doctors capable of providing constant medical guidance to the citizens of the area. The doctors and support staff committed to the effort will keep a close vigil on Worli and its surrounding vicinities, working closely alongside colleagues in the BMC.
Commenting on the announcement, Smt. Sangeeta Ahir said, “The world is facing an unprecedented threat with the spread of coronavirus, and it’s the responsibility of everyone to step up and do their part to fight this disease. The Shree Sankalp Pratishthan has always been dedicated to ensuring the welfare of Worli’s residents. Through this effort, and by working together as a community, we can be sure of overcoming this threat and emerging all the stronger for it.”
Since its inception, the Shree Sankalp Pratishthan trust has become widely renowned for its charitable and philanthropic activities in and around Worli. With the mission of impacting the lives of people across communities, it has worked in the areas of socio-economic welfare, humanitarian aid, children’s education, women’s empowerment, and cultural enrichment. The trust is also the driving force behind the annual Worli Festival and Sankalp Pratishthan Dahi Handi events, two of the city’s most anticipated cultural extravaganzas.
In difficult times like these, it’s truly wonderful to see two pillars of the city extending their support for the health and safety of their neighbourhood’s residents.
