Kolkata| 2nd November, 2020: - In times like these, when people are at home, having little to do, Storytel is offering a roster of stories which people can now listen to in Bengali language.

India being a multilingual country, is like a cluster of many countries into one. People are always looking for entertainment in their own language. Going with this insight Storytel has now launched audiobooks in Bengali language for its subscribers.

Storytel is an audiobook application where one gets unlimited access to stories anytime anywhere. Book lovers can now download the app via Apple / Google Playstore and just sign up for unlimited access to thousands of stories. Yogesh Dashrath, Country Manager, Storytel India, says “In just 3 years of our presence in India, we already have a very encouraging response to the app. The interest it has generated only strengthens our belief that Indians love stories  no matter what the format is. And more so, in their mother tongue. With that insight, we added Bengali as a language to our service with an aim to have stories reach more and more people. We are thrilled to see the response pouring in!”

Bengali literature is already very rich in its heritage and the people of Bengal are equally enthusiastic about it. Storytelling in Audio, which started from radio, is now a growing medium which is much appreciated by the Bengali listeners.
