While many artists are working in the field of entertainment today, this sector is creating a lot of jobs and carrier opportunities, Owing to this Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Deshmukh today directed to immediately submit a proposal for a definite policy for the entertainment sector and to give industry status to the entertainment sector.
The 43rd General Meeting of Maharashtra Film, Theater and Cultural Development Corporation was held under the chairmanship of Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Deshmukh.
Mr. Deshmukh said that Maharashtra's economy is being boosted by the entertainment sector and there are hopes for further growth. For this, in the coming time, efforts will be made to attract filmmakers to other filming locations in the state besides Mumbai. The issues discussed in the 3 days webinar organized by the corporation should also be included in deciding of overall policy for the entertainment sector.
The corporation has maintained its tradition of paying dividends for the last 15 years and Chitranagari is one of the few for-profit corporations. This tradition will continue in the future as well. Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Deshmukh expressed confidence that the corporation would play an important role not only at the economic level but also at the policy level in the coming years.
The general meeting held today discussed the annual accounts for the year 2019-20. The 5 per cent dividend for the year 2019-20 has been declared in today's general body meeting and the total amount with the dividend is 1 crore 41 lakh.
