 This International Women's Day in collaboration with their digital partner RepIndia, MTV Beats makes a stand against domestic violence through it's campaign  'not our kind of beat'#NariHitMeinJaari.

With a rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 cases across the world in the past few months, several international organisations took cognisance of a global rise in domestic violence cases as a result of physical distancing regulations and its subsequent lockdowns. Many countries reported a 15-30% hike in the number of distress calls received from women who were confined in closed spaces with abusive partners. For us, this has given the word “beat” new meaning altogether devoid of anything to do with music and merriment and that is the point we wanted to make on Women’s Day. From beats to whistles, from hooting to slamming, at MTV Beats we want to bring light to the sounds we never want to hear again in this context.
