Dastkari Haat Craft Bazaar makes a promising comeback to Pune with renewed energy and at a centrally-located venue in Pune

Pune November 2022- Promoting India's rich craft heritage for more than 35 years now, Dastkari Haat Samiti has been a frontrunner in supporting the crafts community and building a thriving artisan-buyer network. Coming back to the culturally rich town of Pune, after a year and with renewed vigor and energy the much-loved artisan-driven crafts bazaar will be held in Dutch Palace, Bund Garden Road in Pune from 5th to 13th November 2022.

A renewed sense of enthusiasm

 The Pune edition of Dastkari Haat Craft Bazaar will host 100 stalls with a large range of weaves, hand block prints, embroideries, crafts in grass, bamboo, metal, wood and other plant material, jewellery, stationery, ceramic and terracotta, and traditional art from tribal Gond to Kalighat,  Phads , Pattachitra and Pichhwais.

Witness the fusion of art and craft 

Be a part of one of the largest crafts bazaar and interact with artisans from across India. Some of the main highlights are:

Desi Oon with textiles and cheese supporting the pastoralist community.

·         Aavran from Udaipur will bring home furnishings and apparel in natural indigo dyes.   

·         Plaited fabric tableware from Project 1000.

·         A new Pattachitra artist Bahadur Chitrakar with scrolls and songs from West Bengal,

·         Gold Leaf embossed Pichhwais from Rajasthan

·         Dayaben from Kutch with extra fine Soof embroidery

·         EkiBeki created by Vishpala Hundekari with an array of artistic stationery

·         Stationery made of handmade paper in the most organic of raw materials - Elephant Poo from Jaipur!

·         Kotpad, Odisha, fabrics and saris in rare natural dye colours.

·         Natural grass baskets from Orissa

·         Black Pottery from Manipur

·         Sholapith Flowers from West Bengal

Music from the heart and food for soul

Rajasthani folk music and Kalbelia dance of Bhutte Khan Manganiar international folk artist from Barmer, Rajasthan. The group has performed in various places in India and 45 countries of the world and will provide a holistic cultural experience to the crafts mela. Try out some interesting snacks from our famous old Delhi and Rajasthani stalls. Authentic menu made by amazing cooks.
