India, 15th November 2022: Popularly identified as a radio station that truly understands the pulse of its audience, Radio City, India's largest radio network, has put forward a platform 'Radio City Freedom'. This innovative platform has been launched to showcase India's diverse independent music culture and celebrate the work of emerging and veteran artists. The purpose of this initiative is to foster a community for Indie artists and demonstrate Radio City's dedication supporting the cause. Under Radio City Freedom, the radio channel operates various IPs that are specific to the renowned artists and musicians they are exhibiting.
‘Radio City Freedom’ has varied digital IPs that focus on promoting the innate talent of Indie music industry in India.
- Artist of the Month - The IP ‘Artist of the Month’ features an artist/band who have had a significant impact on the Indian independent music landscape. The discussion revolves around the journey of the artist, inspirations/influences, milestones, etc. Artists such as Anand Bhaskar, Leslee Lewis, Aabha Hanjura, and the band Bloodywood, have been a part of the show so far.
- From my Studio - This monthly IP aims to showcase an artist from his/her recording studio where Radio City host takes a tour of the place and has a candid chat with the artist about their relationship with the studio, favorite equipment, etc. So far, artists such as guitarist-songwriter Anurag Gawhale, composer Kanishk Seth and vocalist Kavita Seth, Singer Nikhita Gandhi have been featured.
- Story of a Song - This is a weekly IP that features recently released songs. The interview delves into the details about the recent release, unknown facts, funny incidents, etc. Artists such as Kasyap, Sukriti Kakar, and Siddhant Bhosle have been a part of the show.
- Jam sessions - A monthly IP showcases an artist/band performing original music live. Radio City packages the gig by filming, editing, and uploading the video. Artists such as Mayur Sakhare, Ishaan Nigam, and the band Abhanga Repost have been a part of the IP till now.
- Hip Hop 91 - As the hip-hop culture has been augmenting, this monthly IP features interactions with underground hip-hop artists of India across languages and regions.

The network introduced humour and the concept of agony aunt on radio with Babber Sher and Love Guru respectively. It also initiated Radio City Freedom Awards, a platform to recognize independent music and provided a launch pad to budding singers with Radio City Super Singer, the first singing talent hunt on radio.
