ALTBalaji's latest urban-relationship drama, His Storyy has been receiving rave reviews since it premiered on the streaming platform. Critics and the audience have been lauding the show for its beautiful treatment and sensitive storytelling. The show, which touches upon same-sex relationship features, features Satyadeep Misra, Priyamani Raj, and Mrinal Dutt in primary roles. Recently the cast of His Storyy – Satyadeep Misra, Priyamani Raj, and Mrinal Dutt sat down for a heavy-duty discussion along with Advocate Rama Sarode, whose expertise lies in the area of family laws. Additionally, a vibrant storyteller and inspirational speaker from the community and the co-founder of Speaking Minds, Raga Olga D'silva, also joined the panel. The discussion, which streamed on ALTBalaji's social media platforms, was moderated by critically acclaimed director Tushar Tyagi.

Tushar has told narratives with LGBTQI+ characters' perspectives through his films like Gulabee and the recently released short film, Saving Chintu. Tyagi's interest in telling stories of the marginalized communities brought him on board to discuss in-depth the progress same-sex stories have made in storytelling on celluloid.

Talking about playing a gay character on screen for the first time, Satyadeep, who essays Kunal in the show, said, "Didn't want to play Kunal as a clichéd gay character, as Indian cinema has portrayed over the years, which has done quite a damage to the movement." Mrinal, who plays the other gay man, Preet, in the show, added, "I wanted to keep it normal and not effeminate. I was talking to a few of my friends, and it was important to me to know their inner darker world including the issues they generally face."

During the panel discussion, Raga, who was once married to a man, opened up about her struggles of coming out to the world, "I was so badly abused," she lamented, "My community in New Zealand, spat at me, called me Lesbian, car glasses, windows were broken. So, you hide (it). But eventually, you realize that it is not worth it. I don't want to marry a male just because society wants me to get married to a male. I came out at the age of 50 last year, with the encouragement of my ex-husband and my (current) partner – my Preet. We've brought up our children together." She also parted the discussion with a striking statement to put the discussion at rest, "Closets are for clothes, not to hide your truths."

Advocate Rama Sarode added stories from her experiences. "I've worked with a lot of people from the LGBTQIA+ community. I've seen them marry someone not of their choice because of the pressures of their family. And they are not happy with their marriage, and they have relationships outside. That's why most of the divorces happen," she said and also added, "Believe me, I've travelled across the rural parts of Maharashtra, so same-sex relationships is not an urban thing." 

She further added, "I think being non-judgmental is the most important thing, so I keep telling people that heterosexuality is as normal as homosexuality. We need to create awareness and have constant dialogues with different stakeholders, to finally include laws and policies that support the community.

His Storyy tells the tale of a modern-day family and life built by what appears to be a perfectly happy married couple, Sakshi and Kunal. This "perfect" family falls apart and grows apart when Kunal finally decides to embrace who he is. It comes at a significant cost owing to society's still narrow-minded and unforgiving nature. How do they navigate these waters? Is there hope for them still? Does love conquer all?

The star cast in the series is the talented actors Satyadeep Misra, Priyamani Raj, Mrinal Dutt, Nitin Bhatia, and Mikhail Gandhi. The brilliant Prashant Bhagia directed the series.

Fateh and Jasmine don classy disguised look in the upcoming episode of COLORS Udaariyaan

Talking about his new avatar Fateh said, “This is a very interesting track that shows how far Fateh is ready to go for Jasmine. He is even ready to shed his image and pose as an office boy. This also puts me outside my comfort zone given that I had to re-invent everything about my character Fateh, which is a great thing for any actor. I'm sure that our viewers are going to love this thrilling track."

Arjun Kapoor’s emotional battle with obesity has us praising him harder than ever before

As the Kapoors enjoy royal Mughlai flavours and believe in the tradition of having more food on the table than people, the new chef, Arjun decided to prepare dishes that his folks would love to indulge in! While showing off his cooking antics, Arjun Kapoor also revealed his weight transformation from P.H.A.T. (Pretty, hot and tempting) to fit over the years and recollected how his indulgence in food was uncontrollable as he weighed 150kgs by the time he was sixteen years old. Talking about his parents’ separation he said, “I looked at food for comfort. I got caught up in the way I felt emotionally… so I started eating and then I really enjoyed eating, and fast food culture came into India at that point of time and fast food is ‘fast food’, so you can go after school and keep eating. It is very difficult to let go because eventually, there is nobody to stop you beyond a point. Your mother loves you; she will reprimand you, but you are still a kid, and they give you benefit of the doubt ki yeh umar hai khaane ki, theek hai.”  

With time, he developed asthma and other injuries because of his obesity. Talking about the transformation phase, he said, “I literally, one Diwali just ate biryani and had a tub of ice cream, and then I said Bas! Is Zindagi ke liye bohot kha liya, ab apni agli zindagi ke liye nahi kahunga! And that’s where the new phase of my life started, where I learnt how to let go.”  

Reminiscing about his good old days, Arjun mentioned how with the turntable or the ‘Lazy Suzy’ as the family called it, he was always the first one to hoard on the chicken legs especially when they were homemade. To which Sanjay Kapoor playfully added about his domestic help Leela hiding food for Arjun to rescue his post-meal hunger pangs!

30 April 2021, Mumbai: Anything can happen while shooting a film, television show be it minor accidents, clumsy incidents, forgetting lines, etc. At times, shooting a serious sequence can turn into an amusing event. Such funny incidents take place on sets while shooting and become memorable in their own way. Recently, actress Chhavi Pandey, who is currently seen in Dangal TV’s Prem Bandhan shares one such incident that took place on sets. She adds that the incident was the funniest one that took place since they started shooting the show.

Talking about how the incident took place, Chhavi says, “I remember there was a scene where I had to spill oil on the floor and Utkarsha Naik who plays my on-screen mother-in-law was supposed to trip and fall. But when we were rehearsing for this scene, Monika Khanna who plays Vandana on the show falls down and Manit Joura, my on-screen husband, goes running behind her and he too falls down. The scene was so funny that the entire unit and all the actors burst laughing and seem like they had gone mad. It was just hilarious. The best part is that this was just the rehearsal, not even the actual shoot but all this got recorded. I believe this incident was the funniest incident that happened on the shoot.”

These are some unexpected moments that the actors will cherish all their lives.

30 अप्रैल 2021, मुंबई: फिल्म और टेलीविजन शो की शूटिंग के दौरान कुछ भी हो सकता है, मामूली दुर्घटनाएं कुछ सीरियस कुछ मजेदार।  कई बार, एक गंभीर सीन की शूटिंग एक मनोरंजक घटना में बदल सकती है। ऐसी मजेदार घटनाएं शूटिंग के दौरान सेट पर होती हैं और अपने तरीके से यादगार बन जाती हैं। हाल ही में, अभिनेत्री छवी पांडे, जो वर्तमान में दंगल टीवी के प्रेम बंधन में दिखाई देती हैं, एक ऐसी घटना का उल्लेख करती है जो सेट पर हुई थी। वह बताती हैं कि यह घटना अब तक कि सबसे मजेदार घटना थी।

घटना कैसे हुई, इस बारे में बात करते हुए, छवी कहती हैं, "मुझे याद है कि एक दृश्य था जहाँ मुझे फर्श पर तेल छिड़कना था और उत्कर्षा नाइक जो मेरी ऑन-स्क्रीन सास का किरदार निभाते हैं, उन्हें उसपर गिरना था। लेकिन जब हम इस सीन के लिए रिहर्सल कर रहे थे, तो शो में वंदना का किरदार निभाने वाली मोनिका खन्ना नीचे गिर जाती हैं और मेरे ऑन स्क्रीन पति मनीत जौरा उनके पीछे भागते हैं और वह भी नीचे गिर जाता है। यह दृश्य इतना मज़ेदार था कि पूरी यूनिट और सभी कलाकार बहुत ज़ोर से हसने लगे और ऐसा लगा जैसे वे पागल हो गए हों। सबसे अच्छी बात यह है कि यह सिर्फ रिहर्सल था, वास्तविक शूटिंग भी नहीं लेकिन यह सब रिकॉर्ड हो गया। मेरा मानना है कि यह घटना शूटिंग पर हुई सबसे मजेदार घटना थी। ”

ये कुछ अप्रत्याशित क्षण हैं जो अभिनेता अपने पूरे जीवन याद रखेंगे।

On Maharashtra Day, Nehha Pendse and Jagannath Nivangune say ‘Garva ahe mala me Maharashtrian asalyacha’

One such person who had such an effect on me was Mehmoodji. His comic style would always leave me in splits, and I would use his jokes on my friends often and even pretend to talk like him. It so happened that much later in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai I got to essay a role similar to his Nayi Padosan character. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that my reach would expand to a time when people in places like Mumbai and Delhi would recognize me as well! The minute I read the plot of the show I knew that the clever jokes and content would click with the audiences beautifully. Seeing little children call me Happu dada brought me so much joy. Making people laugh is an art form that I learnt from the greatest comedian of all times – Charlie Chaplin. That man brought about new heights to silent comedy, who knew that just gestures would suffice to leave a person in splits. His actions and mannerisms spoke a thousand words, he simplified humour and brought the world closer.” Rohitashv Gour aka Manmohan Tiwari of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, “Comedy can change the world in a peaceful and positive way, and especially in the current scenario we are all looking for a way to make the world a happier place. Whenever I am on sets practicing my lines, I can’t help but ask myself ‘Will this make the viewers laugh?’. Because I know that there are thousands out there who tune into the television to unwind from their daily woes. For me the legendary Johnny Walker and his iconic roles in films like Shikar and Chachi 420 are my all-time favourites. Model and Actress Ankita Chouhan is all set to make her Bollywood debut through upcoming movie BA Pass 3. The film is produced and directed by Narendra Singh. It is penned by Deep Chugh and Narendra Singh and shot by ace cinematographer Anmol Dhiman. The music is composed by Altaaf-Manny and stars Sunny Sachdeva, Ankita Chouhan, Armaan Sandhu, in the pivotal roles.The film revolves around those unwanted relationships, which are made, and then they are punished as well. BA Pass 3 narrates the story of a jobless Anshul and how his life changes upside down when he meets a married woman and gets into a relationship with her.

While talking to media Ankita Chouhan said, "BA Pass 3 is my debut film and I am super excited for the film. BA Pass is already a big franchise and I hope that everybody will love my work".

बॉलीवुड फिल्म "बीए पास 3" से डेब्यू करने जा रही हैं अंकिता चौहान
