Singer and vocalist Jashan Bhumkar has comes up with new song “Rangi Sari Gulabi Chunariya” on the occasion of Holi.

Jashan Bhumkar is an accomplished vocalist of the new generation with a captivating stage presence.

Jashan received his initial training from Pt. C. A. Agarkar, and then from Gaanyogani Smt. Dhondutai Kulkarani, the last representative of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana in its purest form. He then trained under Gaansaraswati Smt. Kishori Amonkar. He is now learning from Smt. Maya Upadhye and also seeking guidance of Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, senior disciples of Kishori Tai. He is also studying “voice” under Pt. Sanjeev Chimmalgi.

He has performed at prestigious venues in India and abroad. Some of these forums include the Suburban Music Circle, Sanskruti Arts Festival, Gaanyogini Mahotsav, CUICAS Cambridge, Stanford School of Music, Berkeley SPICMACAY, Avartan Music Festival Los Angeles etc. His performances have been telecast on Indian National TV (Doordarshan), All India Radio (AIR) and also USA National Radio. He was recently featured as a young talent in the world of classical music in AIR’s talk show “Yuva Tarang”.

While being appreciated for his purist approach in classical music, Jashan is equally known for his heartwarming renditions of ghazals, abhangs and other forms of music having a classical touch. A versatile artist, Jashan has sung the title track in Jazz style, for the award-winning theatrical play from Zee Marathi, “Dontt Worry Ho Jayega”. His commercial songs in both Hindi and Marathi will be released by some of the top record labels starting early 2021.

Jashan holds bachelors and masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from University of California Berkeley, and Cambridge University respectively.
