The thriller web-series, Your Honor is back on SonyLiv with its second season and Abhishek feels he resonated with the fun-loving character he is playing on-screen. “I’m playing a Punjabi Popstar who has a crazy fan following in the series. Working with E. Niwas has been a memorable experience and he’s one of the best directors I’ve worked with. His vision and ability to think out of the box and the way he allows you the space to learn and grow helped me evolve to what I am today. It was extremely fun and enjoyable with Jimmy ji, Mahi and Gulshan ji. There’s never a dull moment around these veteran actors”
Along with this, Abhishek is also looking forward to the release of his upcoming film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui which is all set to hit the cinemas on December 10, 2021. Sharing about his experience working on the movie, he mentioned, “This was a very different experience for me. I had a blast on the set, the whole vibe of the film is Punjabi, my director, my producer and all the actors including me are Punjabis. Gattu bhai (Director Abhishek Kapoor), Ayushman, Vaani, and I bonded really well and had some amazing conversations which were throughout the schedule. In the movie, my character has a very different aura. Whenever he comes on screen you will always love him because of his fun-loving and happy nature. I really loved each bit and I am really excited about it.”
Having started his career in television, Bajaj was a part of several prime time daily soaps on Sony TV, SAB TV and Star Plus. The Delhi based actor made his debut on the big screen with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2 starring alongside Tiger Shroff, for which he gained a lot of appreciation. Talking about the transition from Television to Films and OTT Abhishek feels it has been gradual and overwhelming for him, “First I started with TV Commercials then TV shows happened and then Films and now OTT as well, and this is exactly how I want it to go. Each day gradually taking steps forward and achieving greater things in life.
“I am a very good learner and I have learned a lot from everyone on each of the sets I’ve been a part of, from directors to musicians, to technicians on the field. Every day is new learning for me in this fast-paced competitive industry,” he concluded.
