You may be aware that India and the UK have decided to enter into a bilateral trade agreement which is expected to bring in gains for double the trade by 2030. Electronics & Machinery have been identified as a key sector for this trade agreement .
In this context, to understand how the trade agreement can benefit companies, understand their concerns and make recommendations so that the agreement results in enhanced trade, investment and cooperation; ICRIER along with the World Trade Center Mumbai (WTC) is holding a Virtual Stakeholder’s Consultation on Friday, 28 th January 2022 at 11.00 am onwards . The meeting will be organised on zoom.
The consultations will be closed door and the feedback received will be compiled and shared with the negotiators. We are pleased to invite you to actively participate in this important meeting to share views on –

(b) Concerns of the domestic industry arising from tariff liberalisation, if any
(c) Your views on tariff phasing out
