The Annual Day 2022 was woven around the theme ‘My India My Pride’

Pune 4th February 2022: GIIS Hadapsar SMART Campus completed its third glorious year since it started the journey in the year 2019. To mark the completion of another fantastic year, GIIS Hadapsar celebrated the day with a virtual event where students, teachers, and parents came together on an online platform. The virtual Annual Day was held under four segments – Pre Primary, Lower Primary, Upper Primary & Middle School respectively around the theme ‘My India My Pride’. Around 500 students came together to celebrate the day with great enthusiasm.

Principal Dr. D. Lakshmi Prasanna and GMP Mentor and Co-Scholastic Head Ms. Vaishali Borde addressed the parents and the students with their inspirational words.

Annual Day is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast, and festivity when students present their wonderful performances and receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements. The little ones from the Pre-primary segment showcased the diversity of our country in terms of geographical, linguistic, religious, and socio-cultural features through the cutest ramp shows depicting various traditional attire from different states of our Nation followed by melodious songs depicting different languages spoken in various parts of India. There were energetic dance performances by our little ones which showed their patriotism towards their Nation.

On the occasion, Mr. Rajiv Bansal, Director-Operations Global Indian International School (GIIS), India said “We are extremely delighted to complete one more fantastic year, it is an incredibly proud and emotional moment for all of us. This is the time of the year when students can showcase their potential and talent, which boosts their confidence and teaches them teamwork. Through our 9GEMS pedagogy, we ensure that our students excel both in academics and extracurricular activities. The school honoured all its achievers for having attained a sterling record both in scholastic and the co-scholastic domains. With so many beautiful memories to cherish, with so much learning, this year has taught us, in all possible ways and prepared us for the years to come and probably for a lifetime”.

A virtual prize distribution ceremony was also held to boost the morale of the students, to applaud and reward the students for their sincere efforts during the previous academic session. The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. The students were awarded prizes in the Academic as well as Co-Curricular areas.

The event concluded with the Musical Rendition by the school band followed by a Vote of Thanks by the Academic Coordinator.
