Lucknow, Tuesday, November 3 2022: Integral University, Lucknow successfully organised Startup Conclave 2022 on 1st November 2022- an event to highlight Uttar Pradesh’s startup and entrepreneurial talent. The event was attended by distinguished delegates including policymakers, industry representatives, startup entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Startup Conclave 2022 provided a unique opportunity for startups to interact with leading industry experts and venture capitalists. The event has helped the participants understand the nuances of starting and running a successful business. The inaugural Session of the event witnessed eminent speakers from their respective domains of entrepreneurship & startups will be sharing their views on various themes.
Mr, Abhishek Tiwari (Special Advisor, UP IT), addressed the audience on behalf of Mr. Akhshay Tripathi (IAS), Special Secretary, UP IT, the Chief Guest. Leading entrepreneurs, startups, investors, and policymakers from across the state have also attended the event.
While addressing the event, Mr Tiwari emphasised on the importance of sincere efforts put into creating value. and he advised, “Startups are the most crucial element of India’s progress. Entrepreneurs must not worry about results for their efforts, this could be in the form of failure, an entrepreneur needs to be right once to make a significant impact.”
The conclave consisted of two sessions: Business Idea Pitching Competition (the Session is an Inter-University Idea Competition where the young students pitched their Unique Ideas before the Expert Panel) & Face off with Investors (the session is about how to start a start-up with dedicated pitching sessions where entrepreneurs can convey their startup ideas to investors to raise funds).
“Time is favourable for India and Indian Startups in particular. Govt of India and respective state governments are putting significant efforts into shaping up a positive ecosystem for Startups and entrepreneurs. From an academic institution’s perspective, we need to join hands with the government and facilitate the blooming of impactful startups and bring about change. We are committed to making our sincere contributions towards shaping up India’s global success story through startups,” said Mr Syed Adnan Akhtar, Director CIED.
Mr. Sachin Sahni, Founder of Keeros Foods, has presented the future of food tech startups in India. Ms. Aparna Mishra, Founder, Women Shine, presented his views about the role of women in entrepreneurship. Mr. Manish Sinha, GM, SIDBI, explained the role of SIDBI in creating a startup ecosystem. Mr. Byomkesh Mishra, Co-Founder, Medha, expressed his perspective on Social Entrepreneurship- A new paradigm for business. This was followed by a keynote address by Mr. Abhishek Tiwari, Advisor Sp. Secretary, UP Startup Policy, on “Promotion of startups and ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.”
