Holi is perceived as one of the most fun festivals in India. We understand that you enjoy using buckets of liquid colours and dry gulal, but don’t skip your daily skincare routine. While you had fun playing Holi, it’s time to take good care of your skin and hair from colours and harmful chemicals.

Cleaning your skin post-Holi is an important step as it prevents skin damage and retains the natural lustre of the skin. Saumya Gupta, Product Lead, HK Vitalsshares the hacks to protect your hair and skin from Holi celebrations.

Skincare:

Avoid cleaning your face with hot or warm water, it will make your skin dry and patchy

Remove your colour using a scientifically formulated foaming face wash. Cleanse your face with a collagen-based cleanser. The chemicals will no longer penetrate your skin and they will close the pores.

Post-cleansing your skin properly. Use Hyaluronic acid followed by a Collagen peptide or Ceramide based moisturizer. It will rebuild the skin’s texture post holi

At night, don’t forget to apply a face mask like a Sleeping mask, overnight packs or Sheet mask before you go to sleep

You can use homemade face packs like Honey, lemon & aloe vera Turmeric, Glycerine & Rosewater. It will keep your skin hydrated and locks the natural moisture of your skin

Haircare:

Always rise your hair with cold water, it will maintain the texture of your hair

Post Holi, shampoo your hair with Biotin-enriched products, it will repair the damage, and be helpful in controlling hair fall

Don’t forget to apply a hair mask, it will restore the shine and lock the moisture of your hair. Biotin Masks are extremely helpful in maintaining the keratin structure and strengthening your hair strands

Refrain from colouring your hair immediately after Holi, it will make your scalp dry and itchy
