Bengaluru, January 16, 2025: Leading global AI Safety startup Inspeq AI today announced its entry in India, one of the fastest growing AI and GenAI markets worldwide, with the opening of its first office in Bengaluru. Located in Koramangala, the new Inspeq AI office has an initial capacity for 70 employees.
Inspeq AI also said it plans to hire 50 employees across engineering (software and service), operations, and client-facing roles. This is the company’s third office globally, adding to its existing locations in Dublin, Ireland and London, United Kingdom.
“India represents a major market for Inspeq AI’s growth as we work toward transforming businesses through responsible AI integrations,” says Apoorva Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Inspeq AI. “Bangalore, with its thriving technology ecosystem and innovative spirit, is the ideal location for our first office in India. We’re excited to partner with Indian enterprises to drive impactful change through safe use of AI.”
Founded in 2023 by senior tech leaders Apoorva Kumar and Ramanujam Macharla Vijayakumar, Inspeq AI is an AI infrastructure company. It offers an enterprise-ready LLM Ops platform to help developers integrate AI safely and responsibly in their enterprise AI applications, while also simultaneously improving these applications. Inspeq AI’s India leadership team includes Manish Atri, Founding Engineer, and Anurag Ranjan, Vice President of Operations and Finance.
The company’s platform promises to make Gen AI app development up to 4X faster and cut down development costs by up to 70%. It also makes Gen AI apps up to 90% more reliable, helping protect enterprises from loss of trust and reputational damage, as well as harsh regulatory penalties that can go as high as €35 million as per the EU AI Act.
The first Inspeq AI office in India was inaugurated by Adarsh Shastri, former head of Apple India, and a former MLA in Delhi. He is also the grandson of India’s second Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Shastri emphasized the importance of ethical AI practices in shaping the future. “AI is undoubtedly the future, but for it to truly benefit society, it must be developed responsibly. Companies like Inspeq AI are not just innovating but also championing AI safety and ethics, which will play a pivotal role in helping Indian businesses grow sustainably and earn global trust,” Mr. Shastri said.
Inspeq AI recently announced the formation of a strategic alliance with HCLTech to help global enterprises develop and integrate AI applications responsibly. The two partners are working to provide the Responsible AI layer in App Development, integrating it with existing toolchains, including MSFT Co-Pilot, AWS Bedrock, and other business applications. Inspeq AI is the youngest company ever to form an alliance of this nature with HCLTech.
The Bangalore office will anchor Inspeq AI’s presence in India, supporting clients across various industries in their journey toward adopting responsible AI practices. “India is home to some of the world’s most talented engineers and AI experts. We see great potential in building a team that shares our vision of responsible AI development,” Apoorva added.
The company’s entry into the Indian market aligns with its mission to deliver AI solutions that prioritize ethics, transparency, and accountability. Inspeq AI’s solutions have already transformed operations for global clients in industries ranging from technology and healthcare to finance and retail. Its portfolio of offerings includes tools for AI governance, model transparency, and scalable AI deployment, ensuring businesses can innovate responsibly and effectively.
