WHISTLING WOODS INTERNATIONAL VIRTUALLY COMMEMORATED INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY WITH A TRIBUTE SONG BY THE STUDENTS OF SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Mumbai, June 23rd, 2020: Since 2015, Whistling Woods International (WWI) has celebrated the International Yoga Day amidst great excitement and fanfare. Over the years, the highly anticipated celebration has seen WWI play host to leading celebrities from the Hindi film industry such as Mr. Tiger Shroff, Ms. Kriti Sanon, and Ms. Palak Muchhal, among others to observe the day and promote the ancient practice.
This year, despite the lockdown, the students of WWI School of Music collaborated online and released a musical tribute to commemorate the annual occasion with the song – ‘Yoga Kare Hum’. Set to inspire individuals from every walk of life practicing yoga, this soulful tribute reminds us about the importance of the physical and mental health benefits gained from this discipline.
Commenting on the occasion, Subhash Ghai, Founder and Chairman, WWI, said, “Yoga is one of the most ancient practices in India, with a history that goes back over 3,500 years. It is also one of the most precious gifts we have received from our ancestors. I have been a practitioner for nearly 40 years, and owe my health, success, and happiness to this discipline. In addition, Yoga is vital to unlock our creativity and unleash our potential to the fullest.”
He further stated, “Every year at WWI we celebrate this occasion, but this time, I am proud to see the passion and dedication of our students in creating this musical tribute, even during the lockdown. Congratulations to our students of WWI School of Music for producing a beautiful track from their respective homes. Let us all remember the value of yoga in our daily lives and emerge from this period healthier and happier than ever before.”
