CSMIA: Jaya He Museum on your device

 Mumbai, December 31, 2020: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), which is a home to India’s largest public art programme, titled Jaya He (Glory to India), assures to take the passenger experience to a new height. 

 CSMIA has launched a digital tour of its acclaimed Jaya He Museum that enables the users to explore the 3.2 km multi-story art wall which is illuminated by skylights and having over 5000 pieces of artwork & artefacts from every corner of India. “Jaya He”, an app-based platform, regales passengers with a guided tour of India's incredible diversity living in multiple centuries, simultaneously. 

 The “Jaye He” app can be downloaded and is available on all play stores accessible to all passengers and art connoisseur across the globe. Besides, the passengers travelling through Terminal 2 can also access a web version by scanning a QR code placed near the artefacts. Users can navigate the tour as per their preference through a menu of art content and opt for the audio-visual treat of the artwork spread across the international or domestic departures as per their choice. Moreover, the app operates on a unique technology platform that allows users to listen to the narrations offline, even with their phones on airplane mode.

CSMIA consistently explores its potential to be an agent of change by creating meaningful experiences for its passengers, even through the pandemic. In June 2020, the airport’s Jaya He Museum celebrated the second edition of its carnival series as an online digital festival, ‘Utsara 2020’, bringing together audiences from different parts of the world to explore the art and heritage of North-East India. The one-of-a-kind Audio Guide App, developed in collaboration with Hop on India (Desi Walks Pvt. LANXESS increases prices for engineering plastics

Specialty Chemicals Company LANXESS is raising its prices for its engineering plastics of the brands Durethan A (polyamide 6.6) by EUR 0.25 per kg, Durethan B (polyamide 6) by EUR 0.15 per kg and Pocan (polybutylene terephthalate, blends) by EUR 0.20 per kg with immediate effect. The adjustment is due to strongly increased raw material prices and applies to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Insofar as conditions permit, the price increase also affects existing contracts. For special materials, higher adjustments are possible.

नवीन वर्षाचं माझं रेझल्युशन हेच असणार आहे कि मी जे काही रेझल्युशन करणार आहे ते मी पाळेन. कारण ते कधीच पाळलं जात नाही. आपण नवीन वर्षातील एक महिना ते फॉलो करतो पण नंतर आपण काही ते रेझल्युशन पुढे पाळत नाही. २०२० या वर्षाकडून आपण खूप काही शिकलो. आपल्यावर खूप मोठं संकट आलेलं पण ज्याप्रकारे आपण त्यातून बाहेर पडतोय ते अगदी वाखाणण्याजोगं आहे. त्यामुळे या वर्षाने आपल्याला काहीही झालं तरी हार मानायची नाही हे शिकवलंय. मी २०२१ मध्ये माझ्या फिटनेसवर जास्त लक्ष देणार आहे. स्वतःची आणि त्याचसोबत आपल्या आजूबाजूच्यांची काळजी घेणं हि माझी प्रायॉरीटी असेल. पर्यावरणाची काळजी घेईन आणि ती आपण सर्वांनीच घ्यायला हवी. २०२१ मधून खूप काही चांगल्या गोष्टी एक्सपेक्टेड आहेत आणि सर्वात महत्वाचं म्हणजे कोरोनावरची लस याची खूप वाट आपण सगळेच बघतोय जेणेकरून आपण आपली नॉर्मल लाईफ पुन्हा जगू शकू.

Zing celebrates atrangi achievements of 2020

Ever since 2020 has started, things have looked very different from any other year. The pandemic has managed to radically change some fundamental aspects of our lives. While the world focused on how people made it through this year, from news channels to social media everyone discussed how transformational 2020 has been for them. People shared their transformational stories, big milestones they experienced, and being a changed person. Although Youth found refuge in things which according to the world are not huge achievements but for them, they are their unique (atrangi) achievements which nobody is talking about. From breaking sleeping records, enjoying lunch while being in the class, adding haircutting as one of the kind skills, and giving it back to bullies with the perfect response, the youth is proud and are owning these unique (atrangi) achievements.  Zing, through a quirky video with mother as the one who has witnessed it all shares how these achievements should be glorified as well.

The video has a fun take on how in day to day life, there were so many instances which are achievements in their own atrangi ways. Today's youth is celebrating these in this video by sharing funny yet relatable instances. With a huge reliance on social media to keep in touch with family and friends, most of us have probably seen our phone time increase over the last few months. From having a great time with friends on the college campus to waking up just 5 minutes before the online class, or taking a power nap during the online class, the youth has come a long way in 2020. Megha Ray who plays the role of Rani in Apna Time Bhi Aayega shared, “2020 has honestly been a year of mixed feelings for me. While the whole pandemic affected a lot of people, it was also the year when my first show went off air. Looking at the struggles of many other I kept myself together believing that my struggles are not that big, and I would make it through. And I did! Despite it all, this year also got me a role in a beautiful show like Apna Time Bhi Aayega. Rani is a very different character and she brings out the little innocent yet strong-willed child within me. While I had my fair share of struggles, this is the best thing that has happened this year and I am eagerly looking forward to 2021. While I don’t really make any resolutions, I do wish to continue working hard and entertaining my audiences. I hope it’s a better year for everyone and we can finally be free of COVID.

Pratham Kunwar who plays the role of Money Birla in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega shared, “I believe the biggest lesson that 2021 has given us is that we need very little to be happy in life. We made the most out of this year and happened to find our joys in the simplest things despite not being able to go out or party like usual. In spite of the entire lockdown and with several people losing jobs, I happened to get 2 new shows, Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega being one of them. That’s the best thing and the first day of my shoot was the best memory I have of 2020. With the onset of the new year, I would really like to focus a lot on my health and gun for those six pack abs that I have always aspired for. Adhvik Mahajan who will play the role of Joginder in Teri Meri Ik Jindri shared, “While this year may have been a pretty rough one for a lot of people, it was quite a productive year for me. I happened to get my first ever short film rolling and it got a great response from the audience, friends and family. I happened to get some time in hand to devote to my health and fitness which I have been wanting to do for a while now. There is no better way to begin the year with a little detour from my routine life, I will be travelling for 2 days to visit my extended family in my hometown Panipat. While my mother and my brother reside with me in Mumbai, I haven’t had a chance to meet my dad since the lockdown reopened or connect with my cousins and other relatives. Every occasion and festival celebrated with them has till date been a memorable one and nothing excites me more than to start a new chapter amidst the presence of my family. I am very excited for this trip and I really look forward to having the happiness and fun as I did during the lockdown.”

Chetan Hansraj who plays the  titular role in Brahmarakshas 2 shared, “Well, 2020 has been a tough year for a lot of us, but it has honestly taught me to not complain and be grateful for what we have. Something within me keep telling me that all these struggles are what actually make a man. I chose to brush past all these negative feelings and used my time to learn a few things in life. I learnt three to four computer languages, C++, Java script, Python and also utilized my time doing a course in Data Science. I ensured to stay positive even when I was dealing with a financially difficult time and didn’t have a job almost till September. Rakhi Sawant’s performance as Julie has shaken things up in the house! With her attack on Rahul Mahajan, the housemates are not amused at all! An enraged Rahul Mahajan asks the housemates to remove Rakhi from the house and relegate her movements to the Garden area. Rahul Vaidya and Aly are furious about Rakhi’s actions.

The entire house tries to make Rakhi understand that her actions were wrong and unwarranted. However, Rakhi is no mood to listen to anyone, be it Aly, Abhinav or Rubina. Arshi also thinks Rakhi has taken it too far but Arshi hasn’t seen anything yet! Rakhi climbs the tree in the garden and continues to spook the housemates!

With the New Year upon us, there is a festive cheer all around. On this occasion, Bigg Boss decides to give the housemates a chance to let their hair down and plans a Grand New Year Party! However, things are never that simple in the Bigg Boss House. Given how the ‘Julie Ka Badla’ Captaincy task ended up, Bigg Boss introduces a new Captaincy task! With the garden area all decorated and segregated into three separate party zones, Arshi Khan, Rahul Mahajan and Rakhi Sawant will turn hosts. Each of them have to invite the other housemates to dance in their designated party area. The one with the maximum contestants in their area will claim the coveted Captaincy!

From compliments to bribes, each of the three try their best to lure housemates into their zones. Eventually, the housemates are seen discussing with Arshi that if not herself, who would she choose to become Captain between Rakhi and Rahul. Arshi says she would like to see Rahul, as Rakhi lacks hygiene. Rakhi, meanwhile says that she will be an entertaining Captain and that she will not use her Captaincy for unfair advantage!

However, the housemates are not amused. They all point out to her recent actions and say that she is not fit to become a Captain!

31^st December 2020, Mumbai: After achieving a string of accomplishments in 2020, IIM Sambalpur, one of the most promising and dynamic management institutions among the new generation IIMs of the country, is all set to take another giant leap with the advent of the new year. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation stone of the permanent campus of IIM Sambalpur virtually on the 2^nd of January 2021. The ceremony will also be graced by Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Shri Ganeshi Lal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, Hon'ble Minister of Education, GOI, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, GOI, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon'ble Minister of State for Education, Communication, Electronics and Information Technology, GOI, Shri Sanjay Dhotre, Hon'ble Minister of State of MOAHD & Fisheries and MSME’s, GOI, Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Shri Nitesh Ganga Deb, Hon'ble MLA, Shri J N Mishra, Hon'ble MLA, Shri Nauri Nayak, Smt. Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairman, Board, IIM Sambalpur and former Chairperson of the State Bank of India, and Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur. The ceremony will be virtually attended by over 5000 invitees which include dignitaries from the Govt. of India, Govt. of Odisha, industry leaders, PSUs executives, directors of IIMs, IITs, IISERs, media journalists, members from weaving community, members from farmer community, students, alumni, faculties, and staff of IIM Sambalpur.

Speaking on the impending ceremony, Prof Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur, stated, “We are privileged to have Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and all other august guests who will be amidst us on this landmark day. With our core values of Inclusion, Innovation and Integrity, in our journey of 5 years, IIM Sambalpur has been able to achieve a lot of success. In line with the vision of the New Education Policy, IIM Sambalpur has embraced an innovative shift in its teaching learning pedagogy from teacher centric to learner centric. IIM Sambalpur is the first IIM to implement idea of flipped classroom, a learning environment where the basic concepts are learnt in digital mode and in the class the experiential leaning happens through live project from the industry. As a part of realizing the vision of National Education Policy, inclusiveness has been adapted by IIM Sambalpur as its core vision. Inclusiveness, both in terms of gender inclusivity and outreach to our weavers and farmers. The Institute outscored all other IIM in terms of highest gender diversity in MBA (2019-21) batch with 49% girls’ students and 43% girls in MBA (2020-22). IIM Sambalpur has received generous support from Govt. of Odisha in the form of 200 acres of land being provided by them for the construction of proposed campus. The Ministry of Education has extended continued administrative support and financial grant to the tune of Rs. 401.97 crores for the realization of this project. The project is time bound to be completed by April 2022. The proposed campus will be a fully equipped state-of-art structure with energy efficient green features as per GRIHA standards. The new and permanent campus of the institute will have a green campus with maximum usage of renewable energy. The heritage and art of Odisha will also reflect in the building design. IIM Sambalpur had assigned NBCC (India) Ltd., A Govt. of India under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, for providing the “Project Management Consultancy” services.
