From burning down Lanka to slaying demons, Mahabali Hanuman is worshipped and admired by billions across the world but not many know of His extraordinary journey of self discovery. Hotstar Specials brings alive the unseen tale of the mighty warrior Lord Hanuman in The legend of Hanuman, a visually mesmerizing portrayal of an epic saga, narrated by Sharad Kelkar. Produced by Graphic India and created by Sharad Devarajan, Jeevan J. Kang and Charuvi P. Singhal, the mythological animation series has been designed using superior quality visuals mounted on a global scale, previously never seen before in India. The series has been directed by Jeevan J. Kang and Navin John, with lead writers Sharad Devarajan, Sarwat Chaddha, Ashwin Pande and Arshad Syed and chronicles the perpetual war between the forces of good and evil; and how the immortal Hanuman became the ever-burning beacon of hope amidst the harrowing darkness.

Co-Creator Jeevan J. Kang said, “Voice acting in India for animation has predominantly catered to shows for a younger audience. Since The Legend of Hanuman is an all ages show, the voice actors had to shift the approach to their performances to bring in a more naturalistic sensibility to the acting. While it was a process of trial and error, the voice actors exceeded our expectations and provided us with a solid foundation for animating the characters with realistic mannerisms and true emotional intensity. It was a truly exhilarating experience for me to work with these talented artists on the series.  

The legend of Hanuman brings forth the power of great storytelling combining mythology with using easy-to-understand words and phrases, that make it an ideal watch for adults, children and families across the country. All 13 episodes of the show will be available in 7 languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam and Kannada; are Now streaming exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.
