India Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA) National Pulses Seminar on World Pulses Day on February 10, 2021

the 3rd IPGA National Pulses Seminar

Mumbai, February 5, 2021: India Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA), the nodal body for Indias pulses trade and industry, is all set to host the 3rd National Pulses Seminar on February 10 & 11, 2021. The seminar will be coinciding with the 5th World Pulses Day which will be celebrated on Feb. 10thWith initiatives like the National Pulses Seminar, The Knowledge Series and The Pulses Conclave, IPGA has established itself as Indias leading think tank and knowledge hub in the pulses sector.

The keynote address of the seminar will be delivered by Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, Hon. Minister of State, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt. of India. The National Pulses Seminar will feature close to 45 National and International Speakers, each of them an acknowledged domain expert in his/her field.

The speakers include prominent personalities like Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Secretary – Dept. of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare; Ms Leela Nandan, Secretary - Dept. of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public DistributionAdv. Vijay Sardana, Agri-Food Value Chain and Trade Policy Expert; Mr Sunil Kumar Singh, Additional Managing Director, NAFED; Mr Yogesh Thorat, Managing Director - MAHA Farmer Producer Company Ltd; to name a few. The seminar is free of cost for all participants. IPGA, keeping in mind the convenience of participating delegates has arranged a live English - Hindi - English translation service.

Apart from its members and stakeholders, IPGA has invited over 1,500 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and 110 Agricultural Universities from across the country to participate in the seminar.

The 3rd National Pulses Seminar carries forward the legacy created by IPGA through The Pulses Conclave, one of the worlds largest conferences of the Pulses sector held every two years, and The IPGA Knowledge Series”, a monthly webinar series held in the year 2020.
