With all eyes on their television screens watching Tom Brady steal the show at Superbowl 2021, NBCUniversal took the excitement and the thrill of the one annual sporting event up a notch by dropping the teaser of three of their upcoming movies — F9, Nobody and Old - Big Game Spot at Super Bowl 2021. Adding to their wide array of blockbusters that keep audiences at the edge of their seat, the teaser gave fans a sneak peek of the three masterpieces coming their way.
F9, is the ninth installment in the irrepressible franchise ‘Fast & Furious’. Vin Diesel once again leads the ensemble cast, alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and Helen Mirren. The teaser gives a sneak of the family reunion in a classic Fast & Furious style.
Directed by Ilya Naishuller, Nobody sees ‘Better Call Saul’ fame Bob Odenkirk as Hutch, a suburban father and killer who goes on an action spree after a few thieves break into his home. In the teaser, Hutch talks about his dangerous past and the shady people he used to work for. He juggles between his home life, looking after his daughter, and building a shrapnel bomb. When his daughter reveals that the intruders from the home break-in stole her kitty-cat bracelet, we see Hutch doing everything in his power to get the bracelet back from the goons. Things are about to get a whole lot serious as they’re some things that you just don’t steal.
Old - The Big Game Spot, on the other hand, has an impressive cast that includes the likes of Gael García Bernal, Vicky Krieps, Alex Wolff, Thomasin McKenzie, Rufus Sewell, Abbey Lee, Eliza Scanlen , Ken Leung, and Embeth Davidtz. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, the man behind The Sixth Sense, Signs, The Village, to name a few, Old is a thriller about a family whose relaxing vacation on a secluded beach goes haywire when they start aging rapidly and watch their lifespan shrink to a single day.
While the makers are yet to announce the release date for Old, Nobody and F9 on the other hand, is expected to be released by April and May 2021 respectively.
