Limerick by Abirr n' Nanki debuts their AW21 collection, Aurora, at FDCI x LFW

For Autumn Winter 2021, Limerick continues the story of optimism through their collection ‘Aurora’. The spring narrative is a beautiful buildup of this philosophy unveiling the joys of resilience, of blooming and flourishing. As the world steadily bounces back, this collection explores the recovery from adversity and the beautiful relationship between an individual’s sense of self and purpose.

The transeasonal collection, with a focus on resortwear, celebrates the rich craft culture of our country and is inspired by the 400-year-old art form of Pichwai, that first originated in Nathdwara Rajasthan. Featuring meticulous compositions, finesse and a distinct visual identity, each piece is a contemporary reflection of traditional motifs - wherein prints meticulously tell a story, and are connected to one another. Sharp linear formations in sumptuous shades of turquoise, pink, purple and navy were juxtaposed against ancient artworks of lotuses gently scattered around ponds and temples.

The interplay of sheers that were set against stark solids brought to life the luminosity and gentleness of spring in full bloom. Mixed crepes and organzas on unique silhouettes promised transformation - like the unfolding of a story, a new dawn.

About Limerick: Limerick is a premium fashion label that offers a unique aesthetic where design rhymes with art to create timeless pieces for the new-age woman. The vibrant theatrics of modern sensibility and feminine sartorial style come to life through each Limerick creation. Elaborate prints, painstaking hand- embroideries and fluid silhouettes lie at the heart of the Limerick design philosophy. The construction of each garment epitomizes the perfect harmony of versatility and surrealism.
