World Environment Day is celebrated across the world on June 5 to spread awareness about the environmental issues that our planet Earth is facing. It is important to care for the environment we live in, not only for our health but for our survival too. Zing as a channel has always taken the responsibility to encourage the youth to embrace change and contribute effectively. Hence this World Environment Day, Zing takes a step towards bringing a positive change. The channel urges the youth to make small changes in their daily lives to enable sustainable living. These changes include tips on saving water, reduce plastic usage, embrace minimalism – opting for less to make a significant change, among others.
Zing has on-boarded environment experts Nayana Premnath & Sagar Singh to catch the youth’s attention and encourage them to make tangible changes in their life. Nayana Premnath who has been active in spreading awareness about reducing one’s carbon footprint to reverse the destruction that has already been done to the environment; will be seen giving actionable tips and tricks to the youth to lead sustainable lifestyle. Sagar Singh, on the other hand, is the founder of Eco-Warriors India; a community of like-minded individuals who are working to conserve the environment and dedicated to protecting the 'Lungs of Mumbai.’ He will be seen encouraging minimalistic living through his video.
Commenting on this Pankaj Balhara Dy. Business Head, Music Cluster, ZEEL, said, “This World Environment Day, along with entertainment, we decided to pass on some positive and useful information to our viewers. As we all are aware that our planet needs us to take action now for a safer future. Every individual in their own way could start adapting small changes in their daily lives and that is what we have attempted to do by roping in experts. This will help our viewers make changes which will help to make a positive change.”
