Imagine- combining Manipuri rice with a deconstructed dessert. Now, watch it happen in Chef Vs Fridge Season 2

In the upcoming episode of Zee Café’s Chef Vs Fridge contestants would be seen competing in an interesting challenge of creating deconstructed desserts. Two experienced pastry chefs Ramandeep Singh Bagga and Vishwas Anand Jamdar will be seen presenting a dish filled with elements of nature and having Indian flavors.

After receiving the challenges thrown by the judges, the two get on their platforms with ideas to create their best presentation. While Chef Ramandeep plans to make a Thandai cake, Chef Vishwas thinks of making a deconstructed tiramisu. But the main shocker that caught them off-guard was Boss Chiller’s ingredient- Manipuri black rice. Coming 15 minutes into the cooking time, it brought major plan changes for the two chefs. After getting the challenge, while Chef Vishwas was confident about having used it before, Chef Ramandeep was facing it for the first time. Chef Vishwas said, “I had worked with Black rice a few months ago in a workshop. There we popped the rice, mixed it with milk chocolate and made rocks from it. The exact plan came to my mind as it was also blending with my dish.” Chef Ramandeep said, “I got confused. I thought of cooking ‘kheer’ but then thought that it would take time and I won’t be able to create it within 45 minutes. Then one thing that came to my mind was to toss and create a powder out of it and make tuilie.” Did their plans succeed? Watch the episode to know.
