The culinary battle between experts is the motto of Zee Café’s Chef Vs Fridge Season 2. In the next episode themed ‘Deconstructed Dessert’, the show brings two experienced pastry chefs to grace the kitchen. Chefs Ramandeep Singh Bagga and Vishwas Anand Jamdar will be seen putting their best foot forward to win the title of Culinary Champion of The Day. The chefs were asked to create a dish inspired by nature and with Indian flavours. The two chefs were also asked to choose one ingredient from the deconstructed tiramisu created by the judges which included a microwave sponge cake, coffee leather, cookies crumble and coffee mousse. Chef Shipra’s YOTD for the episode was a citrus juicer.
Speaking about the challenge Chef Ramandeep Singh Bagga said, “I felt that the crumble would be the safest ingredient from the dish as I could pair it with almost all dishes. About using YOTD Chef Vishwas Jamdar said, “I thought that my platter could hold one element to create acidity about which I was thinking already. I had wanted an acidic element to my dish and so, I was anyways going to use oranges. So, I decided to squeeze an orange juice.”
Towards the end of the episode, we see Chef Jamdar coming up with a beautiful plate of deconstructed chocolate panna cotta and Chef Ramandeep created a flowery thandai cheesecake with Hide and Seek crumble, orange jelly and black rice tuilie. Which presentation wins? Who succeeds in the battle of taste, presentation and innovation? Watch Chef Vs Fridge Season 2 to know.
