Mumbai, August 11, 2023: One Night, one family, multiple deaths, an
investigating officer and various theories! Disney+ Hotstar today released the trailer of ‘Aakhri Sach,’ inspired
by true events. The crime
investigation thriller will open many mysteries and delve into the lives of
each character. Produced by Nirvikar Films, directed by Robbie
Grewal, and written by Saurav Dey, Aakhri Sach will stream from August
25, 2023 exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
‘Aakhri Sach’ takes you on an emotional journey with a talented
ensemble of Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee, Shivin Narang, Danish
Iqbal, Nishu Dikshit, Kriti Vij and Sanjeev Chopra. Set against the
backdrop of simmering tension, the series will have you on the edge of your
seat!
Director of Aakhri Sach, Robbie
Grewal said, “The story of Aakhri
Sach is sensitive and each and everyone has put a lot of hard work to deliver
this series. The series was created to narrate a story about a complicated case
by bringing the police point of view to the forefront. Aakhri Sach is a
fictional story, with fictional characters, inspired by a real case that shook
the nation. It follows the crime investigation done by a female cop named Anya.
The character of Anya is played by Tamannah Bhatia and she has done a lot of
preparation to get into the character. I can’t wait for the audience across the
world to witness Aakhri Sach on Disney+ Hotstar soon!”
Tamannaah Bhatia playing the role of lead investigation officer
in Aakhri Sach said, “When Aakhri Sach
came to me, it was a story that immediately shook my very core. This character
is very special to me - firstly because it’s the first time ever I am playing a
police officer in a long format and secondly, the emotional vulnerability of
Anya that Aakhri Sach displays is like none other. Playing this sharp and
fierce cop, really pushed me to embrace all the discomfort and perceptions that
came with it and overcome them. I am glad to be a part of this story and take
this to the world with Disney+ Hotstar!”
Abhishek Banerjee on playing Bhuvan in Disney+ Hotstar’s Aakhri Sach said, "Aakhri
Sach delves into the darkest corners of the human mind. The journey of bringing
