Kanpur, August 30, 2023: The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) announced UP T20 League which will going to start from 30th August 2023 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The Gorakhpur Lions team owned by Gaurs Group is one of the six teams participated in the UP T20 League, joining the likes of Noida, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi & Meerut in the upcoming league.
The opening ceremony of the league was held on 30th August at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur and the closing ceremony scheduled to be held on September 16, 2023. The opening ceremony began at 5:30 PM and featured a variety of cultural performances. In an exhilarating display of solidarity and support, popular Bollywood actors and singers, Tiger Shroff, Ameesha Patel, Manish Paul, and Meet Bros, graced the event by adding an extra layer of excitement to an already electrifying atmosphere.
Team Gorakhpur Lions will face off against Team Lucknow Falcons in their debut match, scheduled on August 31st at the iconic Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The action-packed encounter is set to kick off at 3:30 PM, marking a historic moment in the UP T20 tournament.
