Chennai, January 2nd, 2025 — The climate crisis is no longer a distant warning—it is impacting our daily lives, demanding immediate attention and action. With an array of indigenous innovations and diverging technologies emerging worldwide, achieving a sustainable, net-zero future requires collective effort; no country, company, or community can do it alone.
To drive this momentum, IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP), India’s leading deep-tech innovation and startup incubation ecosystem in association with India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), is set to host Envision 2025 for its third edition from January 30 to February 1, 2025. With the theme for this edition, ‘Ground Zero for Net-Zero’, the event will bring together grassroots initiatives and global stakeholders in a united call to action.
Building on the success of Envision 2024, which attracted over 500 attendees and featured more than 50 expert speakers across 12+ technology focus areas—including the launch of the Zero to Green Alliance—this year’s conference aims to amplify its impact. Envision 2025 will highlight India’s collaborative potential in addressing climate challenges and advancing climate tech solutions, with a focus on the following technological areas:
- Green Buildings
- Solar and Wind Energy
- Electric Mobility
- Energy Storage
- Nuclear Energy
- Climate Finance
- Heating & Cooling
- Climate Policy
- Circular Economy
- Green Hydrogen
“With rapid advances in AI, electric vehicles, and related technologies, India’s per-capita power energy consumption is expected to increase rapidly. To transition to a developed economy and fulfil this energy requirement, we must be self-sufficient and enhance clean energy generation by creating a roadmap for moving toward a $300 billion industry. This will require a robust strategic, expert-oriented, and industrial approach with risk funding, collaboration, and replication of IITM Research Park models to facilitate an ecosystem to push the movement from labs to markets,” said Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-Founder of Infosys, while speaking at the last EnVision conference in 2023.
The three-day event will feature expert sessions, panel discussions, deep-dive workshops and technology showcases, empowering stakeholders to turn climate commitments into actionable strategies. This year’s conference will also host the second edition of “Pitch to Win” inviting innovative climate tech solutions from startups.
Envision 2025 presents a pivotal opportunity to shape a sustainable, economically viable, and socially inclusive energy future for the nation. IIT Madras Research Park encourages everyone’s participation in this crucial dialogue to advance climate action.
