MUMBAI: Yoga brings a balance between body, soul and mind. It helps us to understand the purpose of life and how to survive in the changing environment. On the occasion of the fifth annual International Yoga Day, the Hindu spiritual movement Brahma Kumaris celebrated a grand event on Sunday 23 June 2019 with celebrated martial arts expert Chitah Yajnesh Shetty at Yog School in Shimpoli, Borivali (West), Mumbai. Apart from Brahma Kumaris’ sisters Bindu and Shreya; former Indian woman cricketer and BCCI member (C.O.A.) and also a recipient of Padma Shri Award Diana Edulji; film director Abhinav Kashyap – a National award winner for Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’; Dr. P.V. Shetty and many other luminaries added glitz and glamour with their presence at this function presented by Chitah Yajnesh Shetty. The programme was hosted by Prasanna C. Sant.
Awarded recently in America with ‘Martial Art Hall of Fame Award’, Chitah Yajnesh Shetty has been imparting martial arts training from more than three decades in the film industry, especially with celebrated stars. Shetty motivated the jam-packed audience about the benefits of ‘yoga’ and its significance. He performed Raj Yog meditation and also shared martial arts tips and conveyed his greetings to all and one on this ‘International Yoga Day’ celebration.The function was concluded with vote of thanks from the sisters of Brahma Kumaris who also conferred the special guest with appreciation. Padma Shri award winner Diana Edulji treasured and cherished the award winning martial arts trainer Chitah Yajnesh Shetty for his noble services.
