Khadi and Village Industries Commission celebrated the MSME Day 2019 at its Central Office, Mumbai here today. The programme was chaired by CEO, KVIC, Ms. Preeta Verma. She also interacted with the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) entrepreneurs of Khadi Village Industries sector and students of various technical colleges of Mumbai, who were present on the occasion.
The guest speaker of the programme, Deputy Director, MSME-DI, Ms. Bhagyashree Sathe, gave detailed information on how a small business can avail handholding support of MSME and Udyog Aadhaar registration procedure to avail benefits of MSME scheme and thereby become a definite part of Make in India. The MSME sector has given inputs and boost to this campaign, she added.
CEO, KVIC, Shri Y. K Baramatikar shared details on schemes and programmes of KVIC on the occasion.
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises – which account for more than 30% of GDP growth and businesses and around 70% of jobs worldwide – play a pivotal role in stimulating economic growth and providing employment for vulnerable groups such as women, young entrepreneurs, and poor communities.
