Travel across Austria with Austrian Railways Company (OBB)

Emirates has launched an interline agreement with Austrain Railway Company OBB through railway alliance Access Rail (9B). OEBB offers two types of service: OEBB First class and OEBB Second class. The product can be booked as Rail and Fly as well as Fly and Rail. Bookings on OEBB must be made in GDS using 9B in the following booking classes: EK Cabin Class 9B Cabin class 9B Booking class First First C Business First C Economy Second Y Emirates First and Business class customers receive complementary access to the OEBB lounges at all major train stations (Wien Hauptbahnhof, Wien Westbahnhof, Wien Meidling, Linz Hauptbahnhof, Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof, Graz Hauptbahnhof, Klagenfurt Hauptbahnhof ) in conjunction with their OEBB First class ticket. Routes The Austrian OEBB rail network is divided into seven provinces and each province has its own capital. Customers can book their train travel from the seven different province capitals to Vienna International Airport ( VIE ) and v.v. Enjoy the convenience of one booking that takes you seamlessly between destinations around Austria and over 150 Emirates destinations worldwide. Groups, Skywards reward bookings and other Airlines frequent flier program tickets are not permitted. Child/infant discounts permitted. Validity of OEBB rail-boarding-pass The OEBB rail-boarding-pass is booked and issued for a particular train connection from the province capital to Vienna International Airport (VIE) and v.v. The details of the booked train connection are shown on the Emirates booking and later on the OEBB rail-boarding-pass. Notes : Bookings from Graz or Klagenfurt to Vienna International Airport (VIE) and v.v. might require a change of the train at Wien Hauptbahnhof. In this case, the sector between Vienna International Airport (VIE) and Wien Hauptbahnhof will always be included in the OEBB rail-boarding-pass. The route of travel is also indicated on the OEBB rail-boarding-pass. Ticket is only valid on OEBB trains except night trains – EN Euro Night). Travelling only from Vienna main station to Vienna International Airport (VIE) is not possible. Fares vary depending on the province capital and are filed in the GDS system as through fares from/to the province capital. Minimum Connecting Time Rail & Fly   01:30 hours Fly & Rail 01:15 hours Ticket Time-limit Ticketing Time Limit (TTL) on OEBB is as per international fare conditions. Baggage. OEBB will honour EK baggage allowance on its trains. However, bags will not be through checked by OEBB into EK or v.v. The customers are responsible for the carriage of their bags both onto and off the train. No check-in is required for luggage on the rail segment. Luggage racks are situated over the seats and in the corridors. Check-in Customers ticketed to travel on OEBB must check-in prior to boarding any train. Check-in is possible within 72 hours before the departure of the booked OEBB connection. In case customer fails to check-in prior to boarding, they will be asked to buy a new ticket on the train. In this case no refunds can be granted. There are two options to check-in and obtain your OEBB rail-boarding-pass: Web Check-in on 9B Access Rail Please present the printed or electronic OEBB rail-boarding-pass on board of the train with an ID-Card. OEBB- Reisezentrum (ticket office) This option is not available at all train stations. Please check in advance. Notes : Check-in can be done by using customer name and PNR locator or E-ticket number. No boarding without check-in. Customers have to check-in for the Emirates flight and OEBB train separately. Re-booking and Cancellation of train segments Standard EK ticketing policy applies as per the booked EK fare rules. Disruption Delay of EK Flights (inbound connections) : In case of disruptions to the EK inbound flight resulting in a misconnection of the train already booked, OEBB will honour the coupon and place the customer on the next available train. Delay in OEBB trains (Outbound connections) : If the booked OEBB train is delayed which may cause misconnection to the outbound EK flight, customer should contact Emirates directly. Customers are entitled to compensation only for delays of the booked train (as shown on the Emirates Booking) and trains with an earlier or equal estimated arrival time at Vienna International Airport (VIE) as the booked train. FAQs Will fares be loaded for auto TST creation ? Yes, the fares will be loaded for auto TST creation. After ticket issuance, can an existing ticket be reissued to include Train Service ? Yes, standard EK ticketing policy applies. Are reissue charges waived if customers book the journey online and later want to include train service ? No. Reissue Fee is applicable if there is any change to the original ticket.  Will EK fare rules on re-issue charges, penalties and refund apply on the train segment? Yes, standard EK fare rules apply. Is Pre-seating available ? Web-checkin : Seat reservation is not included. However, customer can book a seat at an additional cost at OEBB website  www.oebb.at/en Check-in at OEBB -Reisezentrum (ticket office) : Seat reservation is included.This option is not available on all OEBB trains. Please check in advance.  Note : Online -booked seat-reservation does not replace check-in. Seat reservation is not available on all OEBB trains. How will customer booking this service know that this is a train service? Customer's e-ticket will clearly indicate that this is a train service. Can a go-show customer be accepted? No.Go-show customers will not be accepted. Do customers receive Skywards miles for the OEBB train journey? No.Customers can collect Skywards miles only on Emirates flights. Can Rail and Fly fares from different provinces can be combined with each other ? Yes. Rail 7 Fly fares from different provinces can be flexibly combined with each other on a half-RT basis.
