Did you know that the cast of Pepper Chicken had many frightening encounters with the wild while shooting in the pristine woods of Assam for Pepper Chicken releasing on 6th November, 2020 only on ShemarooMe’s Box Office?
Renowned Theatre artiste Boloram Das and other cast members of Pepper Chicken,ShemarooMe Box Offices' new movie offering, found themselves in life threatening situations at times while shooting for the movie in the thick woods of Assam. The danger that prevailed was through the wild that inhabited the wilderness which left the cast being over cautious throughout the shoot.
Boloram Das divulged one such incident that he remembers vividly " It was our last day of shoot and as about 80 percent of the movie is shot at night we had to shoot in the wee hours in a wildlife sanctuary in Assam. We were shooting the action scene between Diapannita Sharma and I in the midst of the jungle. The team had laid down beds and concealed them with leaves so as to prepare for safety protocols of the action sequence. Just before we were about to shoot, the lighting was being tested and the team spotted a huge snake on the bed that we were to fall upon to shoot the scene. Had someone not noticed the snake or had the snake bit someone, it would have become a medical emergency hard to tackle and address as there were no hospitals in close vicinity."
Boloram adds "The team then waded off the snake by putting Phenyl and didn't tell Dipannita about the incident as she has a phobia of snakes and would then lead onto the shoot maybe getting postponed" . The actor also recounts how there were incidents before where there might have been a tiger in close proximity to where we were shooting so the team had to light fires to scare off the tiger.
About The Film: Pepper Chicken” is an intelligent thriller that narrates the tale of a car ride gone awry, as a cab driver and his female passenger engage in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Who emerges victorious in this sinister chase forms the crux of the film. The Dipannita Sharma starrer will keep you hooked with an engrossing plot and a mind twisting ending that provokes the viewer’s imagination.
