Aligarh Municipal Corporation (AMC) Commissioner Prem Ranjan Singh and City Mayor Mohammad Furkan Ahmad held their first informal meeting Monday.

The first face-to-face meeting took place at the Jawahar Bhawan, Aligarh. One of the spokesperson said in a statement that “Personality speaks about itself and I am blessed to see a newly appointed young I.A.S. officer with such a practical vision, today a new healthy tradition has started in which we will take our city Aligarh to new heights and the problems will be resolved within time under his leadership”.
In today's meeting, the newly appointed Municipal Commissioner was welcomed at the introductory meeting by offering a bouquet to the Honorable Mayor, and was greeted by the Honorable Mayor by offering warm greetings to the Municipal Commissioner.
The city commissioner expressed gratitude for the welcome made by the honorable councilor, the honorable mayor, and was told by the municipal commissioner that I have also been in charge of the VC of ADA. He added “I am available after 5:00 pm on every Friday to the honorable councilors.”
During the event the municipal commissioner while talking with councilors said “I will always be ready for the disposal of public problems with full hope and faith. The support and affection of the municipal councilors under the leadership of the Honorable Mayor will always be with me. I believe that if a person comes to me from any work, his time is more valuable than our time and he must be given priority.
Ending his statement with thanks to all the councilors with the wishes of Deepawali. Councilors drew attention to the new Municipal Commissioner by congratulating them on the Deepawali festival for improving the lighting of the city. This Deepawali the city people will see the new Aligarh.
