November, 2020: Actor Jerry O’Connell has been part of many iconic movies, be it Jerry Maguire, Scream 2, Can’t Hardly Wait, Mission to Mars or Tomcats. The avid bookworm now spills the beans on how reading Rhonda Byrne's coveted bestseller The Secret turned out to be a silver lining as he landed a role in the movie adaptation.
The star knows a thing or two about the magic behind the book, as he shares, "When I first heard that they were doing ‘a Secret’ movie, I was like, I read that book! I practice those principles! And so then I actually secreted getting the role in this movie… and BOOM, here I am. It works!"
The film, filled with goodness, hope and warmth, is coming out at a time when the world is in dire need of it. The Katie Holmes starrer will brew a feel good spirit inside everyone watching it.
The romantic drama follows the tale of Miranda (Katie Holmes), a financially strapped widow and mother of three, who is dating her boss, Tucker (Jerry O'Connell). Life throws in an unexpected surprise when Bray (Josh Lucas), a helpful stranger arrives in town and makes her realize the true power of positive thinking.
Gushing about the film, Jerry also adds, “It's funny when I talk about it -- I don't want to come off as sounding too preachy -- but I think everybody should read The Secret. And if you don't want to read it, just sit back and watch the movie."
PVR Pictures to release The Secret: Dare to Dream starring Katie Holmes, Josh Lucas, Jerry O'Connell, and Celia Weston in cinemas on the 27th of November 2020.
