COVID-19 Shatters The Dream But Life Must Go On - SMAASH Director, Vijayender Tulla

  • Moves out of' the Company he helped Build into as one of the top FEC brand in the

Country

Hyderabad, 18th December, 2020: Mr. Vijayender Tulla has announced his resignation from the prestigious board of SMAASH — as one of its Director’s. He had merged his company SVM -  one of the frontrunner in the industry with SMAASH in September 2017 and assisted SMAASH to record double digit growth in 2019.

Commenting on the decision of resigning from his post of Director of SMAASH, Mr. Vijayender Tulla, said, “An ambitious and dreamy-eyed youngster, my vision found life more than a decade ago. I stepped into this industry with a passionate idea, one that aimed to make every child stepping into our arcade leave with their hearts full and faces plastered with smiles. Even more so, to bring out the child in everyone that came to visit us. This very mission put me on the journey that created S VM, an entity that brought about a revolution in the industry. Soon, we grew to become a top SEC brand in the country, leading to our merger with SMAAASH, bringing us one step closer towards becoming a global company.”

In his resignation letter he mentioned – “SVM and SMAAASH rooted their presence in majority of the malls across the country, becoming the frontrunner brand in the industry and a name to be reckoned with. I was hopeful to see a brighter and bigger future for the company and our vision, however the world brought along unforeseen circumstances that none of us were prepared for.”

The COVID-19 pandemic rattled the world, bringing unprecedented changes and challenges to many lives and businesses. It is common knowledge that we too were adversely affected by the pandemic, suddenly stunting our growth and presenting us with an unstable future. However, through these financial troubles and overall turmoil, I still hold onto the confidence that SMAAASH will preserve through these times and come out stronger than ever before.

In saying this, I also realise that my journey with SMAAASH has reached its final stage. It has been an absolute pleasure and honour to have served as a director of this company for the last 3 years, an experience that leaves me with immense pride and many invaluable lessons. My best wishes and warmest regards extend to my family at SMAAASH, every person that has been a part of my journey and made it such a memorable one. I hope everyone affected by this pandemic finds their footing again and we all unite in making the world a healthier, safer and better place."

He will continue to pursue his other businesses in reality, retail, healthcare and education sectors.
