The World Computer Literacy Day will be observed on December 2 to promote digital literacy through computer systems to reduce the digital divide across the world.

"The disruptions caused by Covid-19 has brought a change in the dynamics of learning across the world with education being widely delivered through digital platforms and devices like computers, laptops, and mobile phones to maintain continuity of learning. This has enabled scores of citizens to become computer literate and improve digital literacy. This World Computer Literacy Day is extremely significant as Covid-led lockdown has made it imperative to adopt a 'digital first' ecosystem to ensure continuity in education, at work, and for communication with everyone. The invention of the computer has been hailed among the greatest as we usher into a new wave of digital literacy."
