Who is Jamie Lever’s inspiration other than her father in Bollywood?


Mimicry queen Jamie Lever finds Kapil Sharma, Krushna Abhishek inspiring 

Actor Johnny Lever's daughter, Jamie Lever is a promising comedian and has often entertained her fans and followers with hilarious mimicry videos on social media. The impressionist, social media sensation has been silently working hard and entertaining her audience with her stand-up comedy presentations. The talented star shares that the most important thing she has learned from her father is, “To be disciplined not only as a person but also with my work.” Being the daughter of the king of comedy in Bollywood, Jamie shares that her father has always told her, “It is important to maintain time because to make the audience laugh, correct comic-timing is everything.”

Recently Jamie has been seen playing a role in a nine-part web-series #LiveItUp 2021 conceptualized and produced by the Godrej Group which is exclusively launched at the fifth season of Godrej L’Affaire. The innovative mini web-series takes a long, hard look at the year 2020 in a fun conversational manner. Just like the funny bone actress, the web-series has been conceived as a quirky courtroom theatrical in which viewers will see the year 2020, played by Jamie Lever, put on trial for the disruptions it caused in our lives this year from travel and food to parenting, grooming and various other nuances of Lifestyle.

There are many actors that keep spreading laughter among audience with their comedy, while Jamie Lever opens up about her inspiration and shares, “Well for Bollywood of course I am inspired by my father but there are many other comedians that are my inspiration. There is Kapil Sharma who is just amazing. His comic time is great and he is so spontaneous. Krushna Abhishek is just so good with his impersonation. Then there is Sudesh Lehri Ji who is extremely funny. Bharti Ji is also very funny. There are some really good comedians and they have their own strengths. I watch all of them and take inspiration as you can always learn something from everyone.”

The actor has been sharing many quirky imitating videos of Bollywood personalities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Farah Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Radhika Apte, Usha Uthup, etc and has been taking social media by storm. In a recent interview, she has also mentioned that Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and male actors are difficult to mimic.  

Speaking of her recent web-series #LiveItUp 2021, Jamie is sharing screen space with actors like Hina Khan, Arjun Bijlani, Shivangi Joshi, Surbhi Chandana, Gurmeet Choudhary & Debina Bonnerjee, Amol Parashar, Smriti Khanna, Aashka Goradia Goble, and Kunal Vijayakar.
