           About

India Exposition Mart Ltd was incorporated on April 12, 2001 at New Delhi as ‘India Exposition Mart Limited’, a public limited company The foundation stone was laid on 26th March 2003, by the then deputy Hon' ble PM, Shri L K Advani and venue was inaugurated on 6th January 2006, by Shri Manmohan Singh, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. Steadfast to have an enduring functional independence, essential to elevate the Handicrafts and hospitality sector and export promotion, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma envisioned an expansive, futuristic, multipurpose events exhibition venue and export centre with seamlessly connected Mart and Exhibition & Conferences areas, with well-appointed acoustics and innovative facilities at the then upcoming integrated industrial township of Greater Noida, primarily objectivized to fill the gap of infrastructural requirement of international standard shows in India that could cater needs of the exporting fraternity as well as serve and boost the nascent MICE trade in India.

Planned as a special purpose vehicle (SPV), IEML was predominantly funded by exporters, meticulously planned, collectively fostered and ardently supported by Indian handicraft exporters' fraternity and other government and non-government bodies as a “Public Private Partnership project” (PPE). Followed by a detailed feasibility study, and with the initiative of Government of India, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and the exporting community, the India Expo Centre & Mart - a Rs. 700 crore project was commissioned. With the phase wise completion of PPE ahead of stipulated timelines, IEML became India's first state of the art project for improving the vast potential of Indian handicraft exports through 'Round 'O' Clock International Marketing'

Today it is very satisfying to see that IEML finds significant mention among international business travelers who now also recognize Greater Noida as a vantage business and travel junction with over INR 1,000 million turnover and almost no replications of such a grand concept of being a  rare combination of technology merged with world-class facilities and safety standards, suitable for hosting international B-B events acting as a centralized contact point for overseas buyers and the cottage-based manufacturer exporters for conducting business. Accolades are in place for setting up of the facility of such magnitude and grandeur and looks forward to exploiting the huge potential this facility has to offer.
