This Saturday, witness the World Television Premiere of Taapsee Pannu’s spine-chilling psychological thriller Blurr only on &pictures

This weekend, get ready to hold your breath and experience a nail-biting thriller as Tapsee Pannu's Blurr is set to have its World Television Premiere this Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on &pictures.  Directed by Ajay Bahl, who has earlier helmed Section 375, Blurr marks Taapsee’s first production venture. The film also features a young energetic cast of Gulshan Devaiah and Abhilash Thapliyal.

An official remake of the Spanish film Julia’s Eyes, Blurr revolves around Gayatri, portrayed by Taapsee, struggling to solve the mystery behind the death of her visually impaired twin sister, Gautami. It's a race against time for Gayatri as she starts losing her own vision. Will she be able to identify her twin sister's murderer? Or will she perish while being chased? Is there someone of her own who has betrayed her? Blurr takes its viewers on an unpredictable roller coaster trip. The narrative makes surprising turns along with spine-tingling suspense making sure to keep the audience on their toes.

Throughout the movie, Taapsee’s performance is nuanced and layered, allowing the audience to see different sides of her character as the story unfolds. Gulshan, who plays Taapsee’s husband in the film, is subtle yet powerful, which is a testament to his acting abilities. Abhilash surpasses expectations whilst portraying his edgy-eccentric character

Talking about the film, Gulshan Devaiah said, "Blurr is a psychological thriller that will give you the chills of a horror film. There are no ghosts, but it is purely because of the visuals and sound. While Blurr is a remake of the Spanish film Julia's Eyes, I didn't watch the original film because as an actor, you tend to form certain preconceived notions, which I wanted to avoid. I am an actor who likes to stay true to the director's vision, and our director, Ajay Bahl, was sure of what he wanted. At the same time, I really enjoyed working with Taapsee (Pannu). She is a brilliant actor, and with this film she even turned producer, something that is really commendable. With the world television premiere of &pictures, I am excited for audiences to watch our film."

Abhilash Thapliyal, who plays a pivotal role in the film said, "My character in Blurr has been one of the toughest roles to portray because of the layers the character has, I didn’t really have any time to prepare for it as I was finalised to play another part in the film, in fact we shot for the same, post which Ajay Sir offered this part to me.  At one point, I had internalised the character so much that it took an emotional toll on me. A lot of credit for my performance goes to Ajay sir, who was persistent in getting the best out of me. I also had a great experience collaborating with Taapsee and even Gulshan. I worked earlier with Taapsee, and we share a relationship beyond work. She is a superb actor who lends great support to her co-stars. Blurr got a positive response on OTT, and I hope we get similar reactions from the audience once they watch it on &Pictures.”
