On 26 September 2023, Emirates will take another step towards improved retailing through NDC by offering certain Economy and Business Class saver and special fare brands content exclusively through the NDC platforms and Emirates’ direct channels.
Our aim is to improve the experience of our customers and empower travel partners by providing them access to exclusive products and services via NDC.
As our valued travel partner, you can choose to consume this exclusive and distribution surcharge free NDC content through all NDC platforms, which would include Emirates Gateway and your preferred GDS partner, once such GDS partner has completed NDC implementation. You will need to participate in an opt-in program to access NDC content via GDS.
By choosing to connect via the NDC platforms, you can look forward to:
- Customized content and functionality that provides greater choice to our customers, e.g. improved and enhanced servicing capabilities and rich content.
- Practical support to help you sell better, including expert NDC technical onboarding advice.
If you choose to connect directly with us, the Emirates Gateway offers three connection options:
- Emirates Booking Portal: A web booking portal connected directly to Emirates’ reservation system. It offers free of charge access to Emirates content with a wide range of capabilities to create a booking, issue a ticket, reissue, exchange, and service Emirates bookings including ancillary services.
- Emirates Gateway Direct: For agents who wish to build their own NDC-standard API connection to the Emirates’ reservation system.
- Emirates Gateway Sync: For agents who prefer to consume Emirates content via one of Emirates’ approved technology partners. Emirates Gateway Sync will also provide access to Emirates’ NDC content, subject to the capabilities of the selected technology provider.
We recognise that embracing new technology requires support to address issues. Our aim is to continuously enhance self-service capabilities not only by adopting emerging NDC industry standards on Emirates Gateway, but also by supporting our GDS partners in their journey to integrate with and support Emirates’ NDC capabilities.
We will continue to further improve our robust support process and continue to develop our rich retailing experience with more tailored services. This will empower you to sell Emirates value add products and services with greater ease and transparency.
