Anjumm Shharma: “I learnt how to ride a bike for the show and gave at least 30 takes to get the shot right.”

The road to power, a heart-warming friendship and the charm of the 60s, Disney+ Hostar’s upcoming power-packed series, Sultan Of Delhi has it all. Based on the book, Sultan of Delhi: Ascension by Arnab Ray, the series is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Directed by Milan Luthria and Co-Directed and Co-written by Suparn Verma.  Reimagining the charm of old India and creating a visual spectacle on-screen, Milan Luthria marks his OTT directorial debut with this larger than life mass entertainer, ‘Sultan Of Delhi” which is all set to release on 13th October 2023. The series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Shharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak alongside Nishant Dahiya and the ladies Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi and Mehreen Pirzada, making for a perfect ensemble cast.

To recreate the magic of the 60s, Milan Luthria leaves no stone unturned in showcasing vintage cars, guns and more. Actor Anjumm Shharma aka Bangali, sheds light on how he tried to get a grip on handling vintage cars and bikes.

Talking about the same, Anjumm Shharma said, “We had to undergo training sessions and rehearsals for creating an era that we have not quite known. I took lessons driving old vintage cars and it was extremely challenging. As classy as they look, the mechanisms are different and tough to adapt to. I learnt how to ride a bike for the show and gave at least 30  takes to get the shot right. I hope audiences enjoy watching me as Bangali in the series.”

Sultan of Delhi is set to stream, 13th October, 2023 onwards, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar
