Among many other accolades, Lasai was included in The Restaurant Magazine, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, as also a part of “The Diners Club® World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy” - Global Selection. Chef Rafa Costa E Silv
Rafa started as professional chef in 2003 at The Culinary Institute of America, New York after which he worked in New York until 2007 at the well-known Jean Georges and René Pujol. Thereafter, he went to Spain to work with Andoni Luis Aduriz, at the 2 Michelin Star Mugaritz restaurant. Rafa rose to become the Executive Chef at Mugaritz after which he decided to open his own restaurant Lasai in 2011 in Rio De Janeiro in his native Brazil.
