Sony Music India signs talent powerhouse composer duo Sachin-Jigar

MUMBAI, INDIA, August 28, 2019 – Sony Music Entertainment India today announced the addition of another talented artist to their roster: the dynamic composer duo Sachin-Jigar, known for some of Bollywood’s biggest chartbusters, music for 5000+ TV episodes, 100-odd jingles and more. Under the terms of this exclusive Music Recording and Management deal, Sachin and Jigar will release new music as a duo and as solo artists as well. 
Sachin-Jigar are behind such successful film soundtracks like F.A.L.T.U., Finding Fanny, Badlapur, Stree, Arjun Patiala and the upcoming Street Dancer, will get a chance to soar and spread their wings in the pop/non-film music space with Sony Music.
Over the years the duo have garnered massive popularity on their own. With millions of followers (a total of 3.9 MN followers across Spotify and JioSaavn) between them and their last Bollywood album Stree garnering a staggering 126 MN plays one can only expect their number of fans/followers and streams to rise. Their last Gujarati non-film single Radha Ne Shyam Mali Jashe crossed 2.5 MN plays on JioSaavn.
Speaking on how they believe this deal will expand their horizons, Sachin says, “We are very excited to be working with Sony Music as we share a common vision. Non-film music has always been on our mind and we hope music fans enjoy this as much as our film songs.”
Adds on Jigar, “We have a fun pop line-up and we are sure music lovers will have some great music to look out for. The first single is a romantic track composed by us and sung by me. We are looking forward to releasing the same soon.”
