A day long national yoga contest organized by the Art of Learning Institute evokes spontaneous response from people

A day long national yoga contest based on the theme, “Do Yoga and keep away the disease” organized by the Art of Learning Institute at Sanpada in Navi Mumbai received over whelming response from the people. The teams of different age groups from various states participated and gave a message to do Yoga to the people.
The contest organized by Reena Agarwal and Dinesh Agarwal on behalf of the Art of Learning Institute, was attended by actor/director/producer/singer and Multiple Guinness World Record Holder Virag MadhuMalti Wankhede, Vijay Nahte, Dr Nutan Pakhare, Fashion guru Sonia Mayer, Yoga Visharad Balkrishna Chitnis, Prakash Yelpale, Harshad Gadgil, Mitali Kelkar, and others, who guided and encouraged the participants and explained them about the importance of Yoga.
On the occasion, Yoga guru and organiser of the Art of Living Institute Reena Agarwal said that Yoga is India’s strength and now even foreigners are attracted towards it. If the yoga is imbibed on children’s mind, it can increase their concentration and eventually increase their skills. Besides, they can overcome the diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, hyper tension occurring with growing age. “We are going to organise Yoga programs/camps to spread importance of Yoga throughout the country” she added. 
Yoga Visharad Balkrishna Chitnis said that Yoga helps in increasing resistance power and vitality to ward off the diseases, the yoga is imperative.
In the contest in which right from children to aged participated, the participants were divided into three categories-“traditional”, “rhythmic” and “artistic”, with each group comprising 7 boys/girls.
In the “traditional” category Riyan Sattegiri and Samruddhi Chitale (age group 6-10 years) and in senior category Rupali Waikar (all from Pune) secured first rank. In “rhythmic” category Arya Shedge (Pune) (age group 6-20 years) came first, whereas in “artistic” category Shalini Soman (age group 6-20 years) and Pallavi Supe (age group 21-40 years) emerged toppers (both from Pune).
