New Delhi, 17 February 2020- Amish Tripathi, an Indian diplomat, columnist, and the celebrated best-selling author known for his Shiva Trilogy - the fastest-selling book series in Indian publishing history - was in Mumbai to inaugurate Yuva Unstoppable's 1511th school and felicitate it's star CSR partners with ‘Unstoppable Gratitude Award 2020’ for their outstanding commitment to improved health and education of children. Also present at the event were Dr Anita Shah (wife of Bharat Shah, Chairman, HDFC Securities & Advisor, Yuva Unstoppable), Alok Kshirsagar (Senior partner at McKinsey & Company), Delnaz Paliwalla (BCPT Foundation), Sanjay Parab (SGS India Pvt. Ltd.), and Suchet Narain (Korn Ferry).
Yuva Unstoppable is an NGO in India that brings about 360 degree change in government schools by creating first class sanitation and drinking water (WASH) infrastructure facilities and empowering children through behaviour change and capacity building trainings. Today, it has transformed more than 1500 schools and impacted over 6 Lacs children from socio-economically backward communities in the country. It was the brainchild of Amitabh Shah (founder & Chief Inspiration Officer) who has made compassion and service to the poor & needy a part of his everyday life ever since.
Amish was introduced at the event by Alok who is also his former classmate. The former joined Yuva global ambassadors' bandwagon last year when he met Amitabh Shah in London and then first visited one of the government schools transformed by the NGO in Mumbai. Since then, he has been a leading supporter of Yuva Unstoppable's cause. Earlier this year, Amish along with other changemakers launched London School of Economics' case study about the impact created by Yuva Unstoppable at the grassroots. It was hosted by EY London.
Following the inauguration ceremony, Amish & Dr Anita acknowledged and presented Yuva’s CSR partners with ‘Unstoppable Gratitude Award’. Before leaving, the global leaders & CEOs interacted with the kids and staff members of SSM Shivaji Vidyalaya, all of them big fans of Amish & his novels, in a fun and interesting Q&A session. To Amish, their question was how they could motivate the students to think out-of-the-box like him, to which the literary genius replied that they must be creative and original in whatever they do!
Amitabh Shah and his wife Rashmi Shah expressed their deep gratitude on behalf of Yuva Unstoppable for the 'Unstoppable' support of all their CSR partners and individual supporters. "We are proud to be working with the world's top corporates for reforming education and bringing about positive change in this country. You all are doing terrific work for the society and I am optimistic that together we would be able to build a better future for millions of neediest of needy children. Thank you so much Amish, Alok and all our CSR partners for helping us spread smiles among so many children!”
