Akshita Arora: My character in Barrister Babu is of a 'carefree widow'

The newly-launched show Barrister Babu is creating noise for its path-breaking content and highlighting the age-old societal norms that is still prevalent in certain parts of the society.
Actress Akshita Arora, who was last seen in the light-hearted show Pyaar Ke Papad is back with Barrister Babu. The 52-year old essays the role of a widow, who challenges the norms of the society and leaves no chance of going against it.
Akshita plays a widow-grandmother to Saudamini, who essays the role of the lead character Pravisht Mishra's love-interest. 
Talking about her character, Akshita said, "My character is a very interesting one. I play a widow who does everything that they (widows) are devoid of. Right from consuming sweets, good food, mixing drinks, I am doing it all. I am really enjoying doing this fun character."
Akshita, who has worked with the likes of Rajesh Khanna in the show 'Raghukul Reet Sada Chali Aayi" considers Barrister Babu a path-breaker in today's times. 
She is extremely glad to have been associated with producer Shashi Sumit. "She makes us feel home on the set. Right from taking care of every artist to the minutest thing on the set, she is completely involved in every aspect. I'm honoured to have been associated with her," says the Ikyawann actor.
Apart from doing some prominent television shows, Akshita Arora has worked in Bhojpuri films with the likes of Dinesh Lal Yadav, Pawan Singh, Rashami Desai, Krushna Abhishek, Mithun Chakraborty to name a few. She has done a films and shows in a variety of languages such as Rajasthani, Maithili and Punjabi too.
Akshita Arora was last seen in Juhi Chawla and Shabana Azmi's Chalk n Duster on the big screen.
