Commenting on the Budget 2020 announcement for the Real Estate sector, Mr Chetan Kothari – Managing Director, Gurukrupa Group, said, “The Budget 2020 has attempted to give impetus to the affordable housing segment by giving a tax holiday of an year to the developers and tax benefit on affordable housing loans to the buyers. The new tax regime is also likely to give more money in the hand of this segment’s TG, which is under the INR 15 lakhs income slab. Waiver of tax uptill 5 lac income is really welcoming move and was much awaited, this will lead to increase in demand for  low cost housing.”
