Looking forward to Earth Day 2020, HOPE again has led "Great Global Clean Up Challenge" in collaboration with Earth Day Network. Different groups of thoughtful citizens in Thane have come together again to develop sustainable habitat. Who are believing in zero waste lifestyle which will create a holistic Environment that is far more cleaner and greener for future generations.
Every single plastic made still exists in our surroundings penetrating the laws of nature that is resulting in climate change and other sensitive uncertainty.
Keeping our best foot forward, in Thane HOPE has hosted "Great Global Clean Up Challenge" in Yeoor Hills initiated for HOPE .
Yeoor is a hilly area in Thane city of Maharashtra state in India. Situated in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, it is known for its panthers and wildlife and is popularly known as "Mumbai's National Park"
Yeoor has 6 villages, and houses a population of around 5000, largely known as a rural zone of Thane West.
HOPE is hosting a awareness campaign followed up with clean up drive covering a radius of 50 km around the hill, collecting all forms and shapes of plastic waste littered in the surrounding such as street, jungle, waste stacked lands etc using essential like gloves, masks, and garbage bags following the process of segregation, the accumulated waste will be handed to a recycling unit.
Promoting Health & Hygiene as a major messages to the citizens of the society for creating a conservative lifestyle aiming to be zero waste city in future.
Like minded individual out spreading messages to numerous nationalities of India to be the change you want to see in the environment by following the conservative steps like Recycling, Stop Single Use Plastics, Use Public Transport, Plant Trees, Adapt Minimalism.
[It was found that Single Use Plastic goods are extensively littered around our environment, gradually decaying our EcoSystem.
The most common single-use plastics found are carry bags, plastic drinking bottles, plastic bottle caps, food wrappers, plastic grocery bags, plastic sachets, plastic wrappers for consumer goods, multi-layer packaging used for food packing (e.g. chips packets), straws and stirrers, other types of plastic bags, and foam takeaway containers.
Single-use plastics are often referred to as disposal plastics. These are used for packaging and include items intended for use only once.

Enriching the youth for this movement HOPE will be carrying forward this act on a consistent note by conducting more such clean up and awareness campaigns across Mumbai.
